ALL of their DPs are INSANE. They are a Dance Troupe before anything else (and having their Main Dancer as the Group Leader is perfect for that). But they are all supremely talented and skilled all the way around. I am just happy to be on the same planet at the same time as they are.

They want to call it X-POP because they do not want to be confined to a single genre. They want it all, they are aiming for Global, they even did Rock Remixes of Shooting Star & Left Right. Also the letter X often represents the unknown, it represents infinite quantities, a statement of refusal to be defined. When you refuse to be defined, you make room to expand your identity.

Aaah XG again? Hell to the yeah LOL I love it. Yeah XG since they were trainees were trained to do all types of genres so the fact that they went from Tippy Toes to now Woke Up is not a surprise at all after watching their documentary. They're an everything group... I think that's why they quickly became one of my faves. They are fierce 😍

Love the reaction! XG seems intent upon avoiding labels and 'boxes' - they're a lot like Red Velvet in that regard: they take their core R&B/hip hop/pop roots and applying them to whatever genre suits their mood. (Hinata usually has blonde or lighter hair)

Absolutely love XG on AFTR. Love seeing you two discover this group though, they do tend to throw people for a loop at times lmao They're always bringing something different and fun to watch. Wait until you see TGIF if you decide to check that one out one day. It's hilarious imo 😂 Also Simon look at you knowing their age order and names already! Cyber high five 🙌 I was so proud lmao I didn't even learn their age order that fast! That gives me hope you both may continue your XG deep dive. Even if it's just offscreen, that'll still be cool. They're such positive, lovely young women. Sweet and modest yet funny and chaotic too 😂 I cannot say enough nice things about them. Their concept is alien shape shifting wolves. It makes sense when you see their connection to each other and their versatility. Their based on hip hop and R&B but as you keep digging you will find their catalog very diverse. They can morph into any form. Not only visually but musically as well. He's a couple of suggestions for those vocals you were talking about. Vox 5 Vox 6 Winter Without You (There's an MV which is great but check out the "First Take" version. Live mics. There have been fan cams of their World Tour in Seoul Downloaded by Alphaz fans. You'll find them online on RU-vid any date starting in the last June. There are also Concerts in Australia, Singapore, China, Japan last year you can find them on RU-vid or their XG channel.

Tippy Toes popped up in my YT feed the day it dropped... and I fell haaaaard in love immediately. I swear I didn't shut up about Tippy Toes for months! 😂 There's a reason I frequently reference NCT when I talk about XG and it started with TT.... because just like NCT's debut The 7th Sense, XG was bold enough to make the same kind of statement by starting with a slower tempo song and managed to bring something new and fresh to the girl group scene. Then, followed it up with a completely different vibe on their first comeback and every track since... proving themselves to be the kind of group that will always be pushing their boundaries and subverting people's expectations... and for me, that is what makes them "Neo" and my gg equivalent to NCT.

Nice to see XG on here again. I hope you dive into them some more. You'll see that all these different styles are done purposely so it's not really them trying to find what works best for them. I think all of these different styles is by design. For me they're like if TLC, Spice Girls, Destiny's Child, EXO and NCT 127 blended into a smoothie 😂😂😂
