They're not underrated, they're just beginning their rise. People who discover them know right away how talented they are and how great their music is. Underrated, no. Undiscovered by the masses, yes. XG is patient but confident, they will succeed.
XGALX is a small company in Korea tho AVEX is big in Japan. They don’t have the same connections and cash that SM/YG/etc have. That said, they are rising fast and management is killing it as hard as the ladies are.
They are just gaining their popularity organically which in the long term is going be much better. The top 2 biggest music markets in the world are the US and Japan. They are already doing good in Japan and starting to catch on in the US. I've noticed that the US venues are larger then a lot of venues that other Kpop groups are touring besides the biggest groups. Plus they are a hit in China which is a hard market to even get into. Counting they only had like 700,000 subs before Shooting Star I think they are gaining popularity at a very good rate.
It's famous. Lots of Injustice in kpop industry. Fake numbers of view on SNS RU-vid by money, controll of rankings.…some of them criminals were under arrest. I worried about same thing, they might do anything.
honestly I felt that too but Xg are not actively promoting as well. They have a whole us tour going on rn and are not even going to shows to promote like a lot of groups do. The girls just move like other flo etc by just releasing music and touring.

It's very challenging for Japanese artist to promote from their own country and that's why they're using the Korean platform to promote. It's also difficult when you promote out of Korea. Even though they do Americanized music, people automatically label all asian people K-Pop artist. I know it's ignorant, but I think people should listen and not look at the appearance of the artist.

Somethings I noticed about XG that seems to be slowing them down. They trickle out their music so slowly. 1 song every few months doesn't feel satisfying. If they come out with a great song, the hype from it quickly dies down because it's nothing that follows it up and says yeah it wasn't just a fluke we are that great. That's not that weird for K-pop/J-pop but for western audiences a bit off-putting.Then they change genre every song. While it's great they are versatile, on every release they lose some interest because someone who liked the last song is looking for that same energy but to no avail. They do gain a broader base of fans with their versatility but again, they aren't releasing enough music in a particular style to keep the hype train always rolling. They need a bigger catalogue to please the wide range of taste that their fans have.Even Left Right, their most successful song commercially, had no follow up that would capitalize on its success.
