Is there a way to adjust the image size via the projector alone ? To make the image size smaller while having projector far away ? Not physically bring the projector closer or further away from the wall.
Hey. Great review. Good job! Have you tried out the battery life to full extent? I read on Amazon that someone only got 45 minutes of play time on full brightness. Might have been the non plus version. Also, another comment talked about powerbank, it might be doable if we use a DC-IN to USB adapter right?
Hi pal, thanks! Glad to hear you like it :). In my testing I definitely got through a movie, so far more than 45min. With that said, It can depend on the model, the Environment and quite possibly be a battery defect (can’t speak to that, but I might be a possibility if it’s only a few comments). Didn’t hear such complaints myself yet, so I can’t say wether that’s a pattern with these devices. If you have problems like these, I would advice to get in touch with their customer service. Cheers!
Great review J, thanks. Xgimi’s websites says you can use Pro+ as a Bluetooth speaker, but do you know if you can Bluetooth the audio from the Pro+ to a larger Bluetooth speaker and if there any audio sync issues?
Hi Roger! Thanks man, really appreciate it. I just checked for you and yes, you can connect an external speaker via Bluetooth or cable. I'm not aware of any syncing issues from my testing. Cheers!
I'm looking for i have been looking for a grave electric projector screen and I'm finding it very difficult to find one and it has to be around 80 inches are 70 inches anybody can help me please do so
Hi Nicolas, good question. Unfortunately I don’t have a clear anwser to this and not able to test it in the next week or two. So If this information is crucial for you I would suggest hitting up XGIMI directly for an answer. Cheers!
What's better between XGIMI MOGO PRO+ and XGIMI H2 to use it at home? I mean I need: 1. good quality video 2. I'd like to connect audio with home theatre 3. I'd like to have sound with speakers and earphones at the same time if it's possible
Hi Eros, thanks man! Appreciate it a lot! I personally would go for the for the H2 due to the much higher brightness. It’s better suited for a home cinema setup. You won’t get the full ATV and no auto keystone (but second you won’t really need in a static usecase). If the installed android OS of the H2 isn’t enough. A chromecast could solve that. Also the H2 has an optical Audio out I think (don’t quote me on that, maybe check on the Website). Lastly, you should be able to connect multiple sound sources and switch between them as you like. Hope I could help you with that! Cheers!
Hi all, can someone show me how I can download Netflix so I can watch it on my Xgimi Horizon Pro 4K, I’ve researched it so many times & I guess it must be side-loaded or something like that, cheers, great video & excellent 5⭐️ review⭐️
Hi mate, sorry I’m not really into the music business. Virtual DJ is a pc software right? Because I don’t see any problem hooking any pc to it and projecting a 100“ image :)
Just got this for my bedroom. 100'' no problem and just so quiet. No rainbow effect that my eyes can detect either, unlike my BenQ in the living room. 3D with shutter glasses is amazing. Only downers is having to plug a Fire stick in to get Amazon Prime and the Xgimi wall mount is £64!!!!!????.
Hi Marian so apart from the front camera auto focus for key stone correction and battery.. everything looks same to me. So the auto focus camera really worth so much. Pls suggest mate
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I think it depends on how often you use it on the go. there the auto keystone is just so handy. But if u only sometimes move it, you probably can waive on it. Hope that helps you!
Hi Linda! I just checked with them and they should unlock the code for the UK as well soon. Check in a day or two and you should be good to go ;) cheers!
Hmm... yeah guess depends wether you want the flexibility of moving it around a lot. If you only use it stationary the auto functions aren’t as important to you as well... can’t speak for the quality of the Xiaomi one though. :)
Hi Ben! I think it ultimately comes down to what your plans are with it. Is space a bigger restriction and you are on to go a lot: get the MoGo Pro+. In the end it’s a trade off between size + the new features like the auto keystone, and brightness. Is that any help to you? Cheers
I had the same question. I was ready to pull the trigger on the Pro+ but then a friend told me about the Halo. There aren't really any video's of a side by side comparison in English of the two models. I'm alittle torn what to do...🤔🤔🤔
@@cornellcoleman3765 Hi ! I have both models, and in a few days the "Horizon" and "Horizon Pro" models will be released :) The "Mogo Pro +" is more for traveling, it is very light, small, and great for traveling (all automatic corrections), the "Halo" is much brighter, also stable, but doesn't have all the features. all automatic correction functions (not very important). What context do you want to use ?
@@id.youtube Thanks for the reply wasn't expecting that! Will be using for an occasional trip, but primarily for viewing in the house bouncing between the bedroom and living room. If this works as expected then I'll be looking to get a short throw projector.
No problem mate! Yeah, would be a great feature but I guess it's not so easy for the category of battery needed in such a power-hungry device. Yes, I do think so. It's by far the most complete package I've seen. And I just love the auto keystone. If you thinking about purchasing one, you can get 10% off by using the code "Jannic", makes it a bit easier on your wallet. Cheers!
You can use the code in their online store (link in the description). I dont know if or when this code expires so unfortunately i can't guarantee that you can use it then.
Hi, they seem quite comparable to me, with the Anker you will miss out on automatic key stone on the horizontal axis which is kind of a bummer. I don’t have any first hand experience with the nebula, so I can’t speak for it’s quality and so I can’t tell you which one is the better buy. If however you feel the mogo pro+ suits your needs better but the price is holding you a bit back. You can use the promo code Jannic to save 10%. I’ll get a kick-back on that, just to be transparent. But in the end I really think you should decide wether you need certain features, which aesthetic you like more and what specs you care for the most :) cheers! Hope I could help a bit.
I have the mogo pro these are great little projectors but believe me the massive downfall is lumens !! They are just not bright enough, even in dark environments when a film has dark scenes they still look terrible,we need these pocket projectors in future with 1000 lumens at least
Hi Kenneth, I‘m sorry to hear that you aren’t satisfied with you projector. But I agree, there’s still a need improve on the brightness in order to have a no compromise experience. Did you try to watch it while plugged in? With some protectors it makes the experience a bit better. Cheers!
@@j.marian Hi,yes it’s plugged into power all the time as the battery is pretty poor ! I’ve had a few portable projectors and they all suffer from poor lumens to be honest,I’ve had anker and nebula Mars etc and it’s always the same not enough brightness, will stick with my mogo pro for now but won’t purchase any in future unless the companies can manage to make these small portable projectors with 1000 lumens or more
Hi Kenneth, sorry for the inconvenience. May I know the projection screen size of your Halo? The ideal protection size for MoGo Pro is 60''-80'';1.5 - 2.1 meters away from the screen . We would also collect your feedback and further optimize our products~
Not very helpful as all full darkness environment. I think ppl are more interested in seeing the performance of a product at compromised environment instead of ideal environment
Hi terry, I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t get the information you hoped for. But based on the specs and my explanation in the text I think it’s clear that it needs to be rather dark to get the best viewing experience. There are a lot of factors besides the brightness of the environment that play into the experience, like distance and projection surface, as well.
Pretty hard to find a projector under 20 grand that works at midday in the backyard! The super short throw models seem to be a good option for daytime viewing, but I've yet to see one for under a grand.
Hi, so I checked and its not possible to uninstall preinstalled apps, however you can disable every one of them easily via the context menu. Once disbled, they wont show up anywehere in your menus. Cheers!
I think any Bluetooth controller should work. Didn’t try it. But I can try to use my XBOX one and tell you how it went. I seen a controller from XGimi themselves. But honestly just grab a ps4 controller or any random Bluetooth one. Hooking it up should work like on any chromecast :)
Mogo pro sucks right out of the box it was dead charged up over night turned it on it wouldn't connect to jackshit no wifi not Hotspot not blue tooth its shit! And while messing with every option to get it to connect for 35mins 40 mins, and then the battery s dead again, not getting it connected to a cellphone s10 * its junk, if your spending 45 mins with your cellular service company and they tell you nothing is wrong with your cell service or phone and went beyond to help you and still could not get past the mogo pro 1st screen setup then its shit .. and 40 mins of battery life .? I got it packed up to ship it back ! Less then 24 hrs of having it !
