Ma'am why are we reacting the organic compound with O2 as well as CuO,then and there we are going to get CO2 and H2O for both the reactions so why are we using both the compounds?
the compound is first heated with dry oxygen , the vapor is passed through CUO pellets which break down the organic compound into hydrogen and carbon which reacts with oxygen to form their respective oxides. hydrogen's oxide is water and carbon's oxide is co2. and then it passes through the U tube & u know what happens after that. Basically cuo pellets are used to "break" that organic compound containing hydrogen and carbon. then only it will react with their oxides
