The lack of respect and professionalism is becoming routine in diplomatic meetings of today's geopolitics! First was the lack of respect, professionalism and French diplomacy when Macron had the entire press listen in secret to a conversation with Putin! A conversation that should be under diplomatic secrecy and that does not hear the respect and professionalism of the French chancellery and President Emanuelle Macron! Now we see the Chinese leader quite rightly complain to the Canadian Prime Minister for the lack of respect, professionalism and ethics on the part of the Canadian leader who released a confidential diplomatic conversation with the press without the authorization of the Chinese leader! The lack of preparation and ethical and moral professionalism of Western leaders caused much damage to world diplomacy and Xi Ximping was right to complain. The West needs to study diplomacy again.
Totally agreed. Fundamentally national leaders need to prioritize their individual country's interests first, then global interests. The USA has been behaving in this manner since WW II, but it expect other countries to forego their own interests and toe the American line. Besides India and China, I am happy to notice similar wise leadership in Indonesia, Russia, and increasingly obvious in France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, South Africa, Brazil, many African countries, ASEAN member states (except Singapore), etc etc. The world will be a better place when Russia, India, China, Indonesia, Iran, Turkey, etc become super powers.
China is not known for its philanthropy, but when it comes to sheer business practices, where there is a win-win outcome and China stands to gain something thereby, China is one of the foremost protagonists in these causes. Industry and thrift is in China's favor.

Shift funds from military to decarbonization of economy. China's unimaginable determination to move 700 million from grinding poverty shows the rest of the world it can be done!
