xiao is more calm in a sense and just... cold, but collected. (especially if we talk about traveller). but scaramouche is just straight up passive aggressive and mean lmao. what's up with those short anemo boys.
I have them both, I once walked through the rain and Xiao told me: "Demons don't stop for the rain, move." than I switched to wanderer and teleported away and he said: "Your so happy to see the sun, how childish" so yeah lot's of emotional damage.

I noticed that Scara in the EN version sounds outright angry. In CN and JP he sounds more like he's mocking us...angrily. "Happy anger" as I like to call it 😂 KR sounds cute for some reason lol
@@unhappyrefrains I play in CN as well and when I first heard the line "quit following me" I literally stopped sprinting for a good second. He sounded like he was about to murder me XD (Edit) Im addicted to his CN voice tho. The menacing laugh with every hit, the battle lines, the mocking. Its just amazing. *I love Kana*

When you go from a Xiao main to a Wanderer main... I've been maining Xiao since the start of my account which has been over a year now. They way both of them talk to the mobs has my friend concerned for my mains hehe

i feel that but honestly. I think Xiao is normally just genuinely confused or finds a lot of things "useless". He just normally sounds cold so he comes off as rude, but if you listen he's usually talking about human society in general and even then will make you the exception. Scara just bullying fr though

Lets be honest Scara is by far the sassiest for prople who donr know , when we first got introduced to scara in the game he looked cute and adorable and very intelligent until he called the traveler team "suckers" l lost it , from there its wzs just him roasting every being in teyvat including his comrades , he got SASSS HE GOT ATTITUDE although i regret his "so long suckers " is not part of his voice line but aw long as they kept that laughter its all good

Xiao’s more along the lines of ‘I care about humanity, so I have to make myself unapproachable’ Meanwhile, Scaramouche is a Scaradouche. I like him more because of that though-
You could say he also cares, or... um, cared... about Niwa, Katsuragi and that child. Remember that metaphor he uses to talk about humans. That, if a colony of ants isn't harming anyone they don't deserve to be stomped on either. He erased himself literally just so people who died because Jester/Dottore wanted to get Scara to join the Fatui could get their lives back. The difference is that he, indeed, doesn't care much for humanity as a whole. (He used to not care as much before the second and third betrayal, and later, after he found out the truth) I'd say that's because he's a bit of an individualist himself. He always felt somewhat estranged and isolated due to his artificial nature as a puppet, it's just that Dottore's lies and his inability to deal with loss turned this internal conflict outwards onto humans. It's always easier to generalize, isn't it? If the problem isn't me, then it has to be the world, the people inhabiting it, right? Everyone else. Nobody can be trusted, every relationship is transactional, and you're weak and naive if you believe otherwise. Now, he still believes that being "friends" is just providing some sort of utility to each other, yet, if nobody actually meant to do him harm, then he has no reason to hate them anymore. Because those he does hate are none other than inhuman monsters. (About Ei: I want to clarify, she's not a monster, though she isn't human. I'd say he has deep seated resentment for her, but isn't planning on killing her like Dottore, so... it's definitely a bit different)

I’ve hardly listened to a lot of Xiao’s voice lines in English as I’m more used to his Chinese voice, but oh wow…it’s true what they say: he really _does_ sound almost too angry/edgy in the English dub?? HDKSLFHSK it’s just so surprising how mean he comes off as. 😂 And it’s not like that means the English VA is terrible or anything…it just doesn’t entirely suit the original image of the character that I’m personally used to ahaha. As for Scara, his English dub does also sound angry, but without the tinge of…instability/insanity? Kana inserts those kinds of tones into his Scara more, I feel like-so his comes off as more playful yet deranged. :oooo
I am playing on JP and to hear the EN dub sometimes does amaze me, however, I acknowledge their talents even if the EN VA for Xiao can sound a bit...too aggressive. Anyway, the JP Xiao sounds more like calm, collected yet aggressive when it's necessary, he doesn't sound angry 24/7 and as for the JP Scara, he is happily mocking us with a smile xD Basically, the voice-line about "Rise and shine", it starts off with "Wake up, time to open your eyes ~" and then it quickly disappears with a spiteful tone "You seriously think I was going to say that" xD
@@MrsCutieeCake I love hearing about that! I always thought Xiao talks in a gentler tone in Japanese. His jp voice is very cute oml. Someone also said that Kazuha and Niwa talk in a similar manner... Makes me want to understand Japanese even more because these details get lost in the translation :/
japanese version of Scara's voicelines gives off Sukuna vibes, which I love and respect very much specially JP version of (Know your place) and (Unsightly insects)
