A thing I love about Wuya? She is proud of her abilities and her age. Anytime someone tries to shame her calling her "old witch" she doesn't get offended, she treats it as if you owe her respect for that. Also, her ghost self was damn mad when she got called "a girl" by Jack Spicer. "I'm a 5000 year old spirit! Not a "girl"!" Many of this type of vain villains are always ticked about being called old or ugly. Wuya just swing her hips around it and owns it.
i like how despite chase young not restoring her magical power she was still kicking ass physically i hate it when a character gets de-powered and somehow their muscles forget how to work
I like that they gave Jack the ultimate victory. Makes you take him a little more seriously as a character. He is a genius and hyper talented engineer after all. Perhaps when he grew up and stopped being a boy and he got serious, he took all he learned and just went on a robot rampage. He knew all of Chase and Wuyas weaknesses so engineering creative solutions is something he is very capable of. We're all used to seeing him as a goofy boy. But If Jack gets serious he's a real threat.
I do appreciate that in an alternate timeline, he was the one Villain to defeat all the others. I think that's a nice touch in terms of both character and "You never know who the main villain is"
Jack got the biggest potential of all the villains, the only thing he lacked was the experience and maturity. He also wasn't 100% sure about being evil, Omi constantly reminded him about the good inside him during all the series, but in the alternate time line without Omi being there to stop him and most importantly appealing to his good side he ended deafeating the forces of good and evil and conquering the world
@uribevaldezargenis8862 I always assumed Omi was the good that Jack needed in his life. After Omi disappeared, Jack went full evil with no remorse. After constant failures against the monks, he finally developed the perfect bots to take them down. But instead of going straight to conquest he used his time, and genius to replicate some Wu abilities into his bots. Which he then used to attack Chase and eventually the other villains. And with him being the only evil emperor went on to the rest of the world.
I guess both being a ghost and being an ordinary suck when you don't have PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS! One can't do anything by herself and the other's a mere mortal. All the minor inconveniences of a regular ass human with none of the magic powers
@@floricel_112 she's still a highly skilled baddass martial artist with super strength speed and agility. Don't underestimate Her . She is very smart and cunning and is a expert shen gong wu user , and allied with Hannibal Roy bean she is Dangerous foe not to mention that she's immortal and and can still do mirror scrying and love spells . She's not A Typical Human , she has Fangs , claws , elvish ears , permanent eye and eyebrow make up , green swirly eyes , blood raid hair and lips . She walks barefoot and is quit tall .
@@leblanc3536 chase isn’t more powerful. He literally made sure she didn’t return to full strength after restoring her human form. He wanted to keep her on a leash.
I never understood why she never just walked into the Temple and took all the Shen Gong Wu. Every time she appears she effortlessly curb stomps the monks, I don’t think they would have been a problem for her, even without her powers.
@Mr. And I Quote Yeah but I’m pretty sure she could just go to Hannibal, ask him to keep Chase distracted for like an hour or two and then go and wreak the temple. Wouldn’t take her long.
@Mr. And I Quote 😂 Nah, she got away with way worse in the show. She allied with Chase’s mortal enemy to take him down and then the very next episode they both show up at the temple and tell the kids they’re staying together ‘for the sake of evil’😏
Wuya was the only person in the show that Hannibal was genuinely nice too. Why is the T-REX British. 8:51 Wuya's face when she was called a housekeeper
Yeah but he really only wore on his monk outfit or that hoodie and sweats. Kimiko had on a different outfit almost very and hair style unless she was at the temple.
Omi has his fancy dress robes which are identical to his normal ones but have a slightly higher thread count. Also, in season 3 where Omi got his fake family he dresses in a Chinese farmer outfit
There's a theory that since it was a world without Omi (if I recall correctly), Jack was able to capture everyone and become fully evil; Omi still saw some good in Jack and assuming that's what held Jack back from becoming full on evil, since he's still a lonely teen boy.
all of them relied on magic, wu, or martial arts Jack relied on technology & was able to build functional time travel as a teenager given time, he could easily be the most powerful of them all
Hannibal once said that Jack had the potential to be the greatest evil ever, and that the only thing holding him back was fear. Omi's existence kept Jack in check.
I mean technology always improves but can you say the same about magic and artifacts they get lost some day but technology has many possibilities. He could make a armor that negates magic and already created a device to locate wu. So he can be the archenemy for the Team especially because he was their first enemy and he is smart. There are so many uses of technology and he is pretty skilled when it comes to this stuff he could also beat any other villain in the series when he gets rid of his fear.
Chase doesn't want Wuya. She is annoyong and untrustwordy. However he has to keep her close for his own safety. Otherwise she could find a way to restore herself at full power.
One of the greatest villans of all time and one of the greatest and most evil femme fatale ever ...and her foots well... Quentin Tarantino will be proud
@@EVERYWHERE_MAN interesting . Wuyas powers seem to be shackled but she can open magical windows to spy on the monks , cast love spell blast at omi , possess super strength and super speed and she seems to have superhuman durability and reflexes . On top of that she appears to be a gifted master in Kung Fu. She also is super talented with the ruby of ramses and possesses enough knowledge of Shen Gong Wu to mastermind a way to regain Her God like almighty Heylin powers ! Regardless of her being depowered or not She is WITCH and as such she knows Black magic and the dark arts . So wy on earth did chase think by keeping wuya under house arrest with out any Wu and under constant Survalence , that it would go well. Chases pride is also his greatest weaknest .Wuya was evil before chase turned evil. She is the true incarnation of evil in femal form ! She is also immortal and does not age . hence the Puzzle box conundrum . Chase Young Is hated by all villans ! If Wuya heannibul roy bean jack spicer and mala mala jong teamed up. Chase young would be hiding . the xiaolin monks would be the ultimate winners.
@@EVERYWHERE_MAN yeah true . Chase young reminds me of Madara Uchiha . Wuya reminds me of maleficant the Evil queen ravena and Eris the Goddess of Chaos from Sinbad , with a little Anime touch and Chinese influence .
2:06 you know damn well Chase didn't believe that bulls lol. He likely wanted some time alone and couldn't care less if Wuya found 1 or 2 wu (there's too many of them anyways, no chance she's getting her powers back from them).
You know, I think deep down, Jack is the closest she had to an actual friend. She finds him intolerable yet is still willing to support and work with him, even showing genuine shock and pain when Jack backstabs her. Unlike Chase: Who would willingly tried to kill him. And Hanabil: Who enslaved Jack as a mindless zombie, Wuya in season 3 doesn't really do much to hurt him unless he insults her or gets in her way.
Wuya said she needed to gather Shen gong wu to one day get her powers back But I don’t understand how shen gong wu would restore her powers does anyone know?
A 2d fighting game would have a lot of potential. Or even something similar to super smash bros. Hell, smash might as well add a portion of this universe to the game between the characters and the shen gong wu, theyd work well together.
@Rodolfo Ramos Time Warner (the folks who own Cartoon Network) are actually making a free-to-play platform fighter right now, and it should be out sometime soon.
Chase is powerful because he kept the position of power… he outsmarted a powerful witch. Lol The power is in the decisiveness and power that jack splicer lacks. Chase would have probably kept her in check another way regardless.
@@bustergundo516 I was much more into anime at the time, so stylistically it looked like a bad attempt. Some of the Shen Gong Wu they fought for also seemed really silly, which is probably intentional given the aim at audience which i was not a part of, overall i was too old to appreciate how goofy it was.
I’ve now wondered if she did have like a messed up perception of Jack like he was her very ignorant and foolhardy kind of adopted son and she had more tough love to show but lacking the love part.
It doesn't but with it's sister Wu the Fountain of Ki does give you intelligence but you need to use them both in combination or the Fountain will give you random knowledge
>Evil witch come to your house (basement). >Insult her cause she's powerless. >She beat you up. >Still insult her cause she's woman. Jack Spicer, evil gigachad.
Tbh I'm still not even sure how that instance of misogyny even fits with the rest of his character (That said, I haven't watched the show in awhile). Does it have to? NOPE. But frankly I think Jack was scrambling to find a way to insult one of the many people who picks on and berates him, plus amongst other things Wuya Did have Mala Mala Jong punch him towards a wall and she Did just personally throw him into a bookshelf. And directly before doing the latter, Wuya proceeded to intrude on Jack's artificial sunbathing, showing in one moment -amongst others- that she cared not a WHIT about his privacy. I think in Seasons 1 and 2 Jack generally gave as good as he got when he had the inclination, but his head may've been kind of scrambled for a bit here and he's probably running out of ways to insult Wuya anyway. Does it make what he said right? NOPE, he should just come up with new and better insults LMAO!!
@@aarondelgado7036 There was still a lot more open misogyny in the early 2000's hell early in the season Kimiko is insulted by Jack, Raimindo, Clay, and Omi for being a girl. She obviously beats their asses for being outright misogynistic towards her but they still said (in Jack's case did) what they said (did.) There was a whole ass episode of Kimiko being insulted by the boys until she proves to them that being a girl doesn't make someone weak.
@@cgecko3 Considering I also rewatched one of Chase's "burns" towards Wuya, rewatched Hannibal insulting Chase for his "girly" hair a few times, and there's the fact that Chase refused to treat Wuya as an equal (in sharp contrast to Wuya's general treatment of Raimundo once HE made her whole and hale in Season 1)... plus, while I didn't rewatch the first Monkey Staff episode (IIRC that's the one), I read recently that Omi was quite sexist... yeah. Oh, they definitely said what they said and did what they did. So OFC they're gonna get proven wrong, like getting their asses beat!
@@aarondelgado7036 Omi was literally sexist af, "I've been reading this ancient book on woman it says here a woman's place is the kitchen" he flat out indirectly told the bitch to learn her fucking place and that wasn't even his worst one. Omi was a little shit head that Monkey staff episode, out of all of them Jack or Clay were arguably the tamest (Honestly monkey boy Jack is my favorite form of Jack.) Still shit heads all of them (except the master of the temple he was actually cool with Kimiko and just wanted to help her drown out their insults.)
