We've had the 11 lite 5G NE for 6 months. How they managed to engineer such a thin and light device with a 6.55" screen is beyond me. At 158 grams and barely 7mm thick it simply has no competition. Obviously other phones at this price point may have some better specs but none of them feel weightless in your pocket like this. It's a beautiful design and this phone has performance that will do everything well including great battery life, SD card slot (hard to find), and 5mm macro (hard to find). This phone is completely underated and misunderstood and even this reviewer doesn't really get the true value of it. The mix Fold 2 is obviously sharing the compact technology of the 11 lite which is going to serve the company well as no other manufacturers are producing a fold so thin.

I got this phone about a week ago. It's running MIUI 14 with Android 13. It's a well rounded phone. Not for power users. I'm loving it. 👍🏻

Thanks Frankie ... Another great video and thankyou for touching on the vibration motor . Now Xiaomi , please make something else other than a 6.55 and 6.67 inch screen . And please , give us back 18.5 to 9 or 19 to 9 screen ratio phones . They're much better for viewing videos and photos .

Hello, have you noticed any battery problems with the phone? Here in Ukraine im seeing lots of complaints from people about the battery draining something close to 25-30% overnight. Some say the OS is too fresh and buggy and might be causing that. So since both 11t and 11 lite 5g NE are pretty recent, can they both have these same problems? Or do you think its more related to manufacturing defects?

Hi, not sure if you answer troubleshooting questions but maybe you can point at least where or whom should I ask this. So I got this phone Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G, everything is great except for when I answer my calls on speaker, the other part does get a very rough audio of me, even seconds long breaks. What I suspect, apart form a damaged mic is that the auto-level of the mic is not properly tuned or is peaking. That happens in other microphones and audio gear when in autolevel. A solution would be to set the mic level in manually mode but there apparently is no such option. Thanks

Yo made me buy a Redmi note 10 pro. And am happy using it and it's shape to, but tell me which Redmi phone should I buy as an upgrade to 5g that looks same shape, camera position and power to be same like note 10 pro. Brilliant mid range phone, 90hz is plenty for a mid range phone at that price. Cameras are decent, slim design, you can not go wrong with this device. Great review Frankie 👍

I think they have same specs except for the processor, so probably same camera performance. But i agree that it's nice to compare the two because, who knows, xiaomi made something that writen specs wouldn't show. :)

Hey Frankie! I'm looking into getting this phone as it seems like a pretty good deal. However, I'm not so sure about the software experience that MiUi offers. I heard a lot of negative things about Xiaomi's UI compared to other smartphone companies. I heard you can change the ROM or something like that? but I'm not so keen on doing that honestly. Do you have any comments on the software after reviewing a few xiaomi devices?

This is more like Xiaomi made a mistake using the SD 780 on the original Mi 11 Lite 5G which was too good and they couldn't price it right just to get many buyers attracted, so they fixed it on this NE version with SD 778.

I usen Mi 11 Lite 5G (SD780G) and I think in real life nobody can't see any different between SD778 and SD 780G, both chipset use same cores, same frequencies and same arrangements. I havent possibility use this model with SD778, but I think is not different.

This is a really confusing release. Is it a downgrade from the Mi lite 5g??? Processor is a step down and I don't see other differences...? According to gsmarena NE edition even only has gorilla glass 5 vs 6 in the 5g.

the ne is probably like what a few other phone companies have had to resort to, due to the shortage of chipsets that were in the original version, they had to rerelease the phone with a slightly downgraded chipset otherwise they wouldn't be able to produce any more, but they couldn't sell the old version with a worse one or people would accuse then of false advertising etc, so instead they released the new edition and added a few small bonus features to make up for it such as Dolby vision, there probably is a very miniscule difference between the NE and normal 5G when actually being used, it would probably be really hard to get one of the original 5G models new now

This phone's main quality is to be lighter than average phone of this size The main problem is still the same: A little bit too pricey...with this "new" chipset I guess that even if this one is "available " and cheaper, this phone still not capable to offer 4k/60fps... NE means No Evolution? Sad to see this kind of commercial limitation. Without it , it's REALLY cheaper to buy Realme GT Master Edition which is almost as good as the Xiaomi (slightly heavier and screen with less nits nevertheless but 80€ cheaper and quicker charge!)

This has 10Bit panel compared to the 8bit of GT ME. Moreover, this one has stereo speaker system, a better camera setup, more 5G bands, Gorilla glass 5, which I believe justifies the 80€ price difference.

For me it's the battery, I wouldn't mind it weighing slightly more if they put 4700/5000mah battery. But that's fine... I got a Poco F3 and it's Main virtue is performance and the audio, but it doesn't have good battery or cameras whatsoever.

NE stands for New Edition, since they had no stock on the previous chipset anymore, so its not an upgrade :)

It it has longer battery life I heard. Not faster but not really slower chipset either. The difference is so minimal. 5nm vs 6nm. Btw you should definitely go for an iGB variant, better the 256 gb. 8GB because of miui fluidity.

I'm also stuck between these two devices. I've researched a lot. This device has a better camera and also performance compared to pro plus. But check Poco x5 pro out. It has a 120hz display. 5000 battery with 66w fast charging the camera and the performance are also better and it's newer.

I dont know why they changed from the SD 780 in the original 5G version to the 778 in this one. The 780 out performs the 778.

It's due to snapdragons supply... Probably the 778 has become cheaper for them, and they decided to discontinue the 780G. Luckily for us, we can find the 780G version still

I have the original one, in total it's ok for me. The only thing I can't solve it the Bluetooth. I have to connect my car always manually. This is so annoying will look for another phone soon. BTW also my Poco F2pro had this problem

bro, be realistic about giving the sample photos taking from any mobile camera. we dont snap road picture. we also dont shoot random night. be realistic. study what people always upload on Instagram or any social media, the shoot person, and get some good background. and please try shoot a photo of document under low light. i just want to know wether the phone can take good photo or not
