I've noticed through the years that a lot of people are afraid to go into Settings and Permissions and look around. Doing so you can find out a lot of things your phone can do that is not in the user's manual or start guide. I have either a paper copy for every phone I've aquired or a downloaded copy and for a few I have both.
What's disappointing about Xiaomi is alot of these options aren't available on every phones miui 13 (even the ones capable) they're exclusively held those for their flagships.

Update: Sold S22Ultra and bought Mi12Pro. I can't describe how better this phone is. Battery lasts like 2x more,the charging 120W is unbelivable,the MIUI and live backgorunds are amazing,functionality and processor speed is just twice as better as the crappy Exynoss. Amazing how Xiaomi produced this awesome model. Did I mention the HK sound? It's unbelivable...
Brill! People of a certain age need users/experts like you to guide us in all the useful features of Xiaomi phones. Just one question at the mo: Lots of experts seem to advise that we remove bloatware (unwanted apps). You seem to have retained most, perhaps all, of yours. So what's your advise on bloatware?
Hi there mister. I saw in the comments that u own the 12x, if u could answer my questions it would be really helpful cause I'm planning on buying this phone this year(2023). So how is the day to day performance after a year of use, multitasking, camera performance, battery(screen on time on 1 single charge) do the updates of this phone(MIUI 14 / ANDROID 13) kill the motherboard(including cameras, chipset and performance) "if you updated your phone". Lastly does the snapdragon 870 heat up while doing light to medium gaming and multitasking from medium to long periods of time? I have a xiaomi redmi k50. It will not screen mirror to Chromecast using Google home app. It does cast using Chromecast enabled apps. And it does screen mirror using cast option in settings to Wi-Fi enabled TVs.

You don't show, if there's option to set actually ALWAYS ON display. Showing info on screen for 1 minute is not ALWAYS ON DISPLAY. It's 15 SECONDS DISPLAY. So, is there option to show infor on screen all the time? I got fooled with that on OnePlus already. No more.
Hi. Can u help me? When i put wallpaper of my son, my theme goes redish. My contacts, phone calls, msg, google background etc... I really dont like that. A want all black. On samsung i could use all blac no matter wich wallpaper i use, my theme will be black. But i cat find it on xiaomi. Is there even option for this? Ty.

Sy update ke Miui 13 di hp Redmi note 10 pro malah sering nge lag. Tiba2 tidak bisa di oprasikan. Jujur sangat tergaggu banget dan menyesal di update ke miui 13. Sehingga saya haru melakukan reboot hp nya.
I bought the Xiaomi 12 Pro after 4 months it started freezing turning itself off the battery was getting hot and you would have to reboot it so you lost all your notifications, I emailed Xiaomi, they said if i return it they will have a look at it i said how long will that take they said 2- 3 weeks I said that is too long I'm disabled so I have to have one for emergency, they said we will send you a list of repair shops so I phoned a couple of them and they both said the same it will take about 3 months, Xiaomi refused to send me a replacement, neither the repair shops were interested I have always had iPhones and I was waiting for the iPhone 14 but I was talked into this, and wish I had never bought it,the after sales SUCKS I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYBODY BUYI GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF IT GOES WRONG£1000 DOWN THE DRAIN, I HAVE NOW ORDERED THE IPHONE 14 PRO MAX,IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GETTING ONE KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED IT NEVER GOES WRONG.
I switched over to Mi12 from a OnePlus phone. A bit disappointed how un-customizable it is regarding third party launchers. The MIUI sanctioned themes are 95% cringe.
