I prefer the 14 in general, but gee, have you noticed that the 13 is way sharper at night? What happened? I hope that it's only a settings issue... Cos the grass at 6:30 looks soooo blurry/smeared on the 14 Ultra. 😲
Not important to upgrade, 13 Ultra is great, little to no differences between 14 Ultra and 13 Ultra. Get tuned GCAM for 13 Ultra to take the photos to another level, because the Stock cam is not the best. Stock video on every smartphone is artifical, too colourful and too sharp. Get MotionCam for RAW video, the difference is night and day, after that the video will look more like from the big APS-C, Full Frame Camera, not like smartphone. I have it like this and very happy with 13 Ultra. I will change smartphones only when we get bigger sensor than one inch on main or one inch sensors on all lens. No need to change phone when sensors are the same size. Now it will be harder and harder to put bigger sensors inside. Because the camera modules are so big right now :)
Where is your answer in the end of "Should you upgrade" video title?... Off course viewers shall see themselves, but generally the uploaders give their opinions too! Also, i wished to see more photos in different cases (indoors, human portraits, humans, etc.)... Video should have been at least 15 minutes long for our satisfactory viewing... Just suggesting! I own 13 Ultra and don't see much changed on 14 Ultra other than extra contrast and oversharpening in Zoom mode photos and videos... Nope, that's not for me... Am Happy with 13 Ultra... Next Xiaomi Ultra to wait for betterment! 😊
Tbh, it's too close to call. If you are into macro photography, the 14 Ultra is definitely the better option. Even variable aperture in the 14 Ultra is better than in the 13 Ultra as you can jump to any aperture you like with the former, unlike the latter which only select f/1.9 and f/4.0 only. But then again, the camera sensor aren't any different between the two, so I don't think any 13 Ultra owner would feel left out.
didnt expect that there was still so much space for improvement. well Done Xiaomi. its too expensive to upgrade from a 13 Ultra but its clearly 20-25% better. Macro Mode pretty impressive.
@@DariuszTech a In the end I decided on the Nubia Z60 ultra (leading version). For price/performance reasons and its camera, it seems to be something worth considering.
I used 13 ultra and 14 ultra. I'm quite disappointed with the 14 ultra, the dynamic range has not improved for the selfie camera compared to the 13 ultra. Portrait mode, in my opinion, is not as good as the 13 ultra. The highlight area is over exposed compared to the 13 ultra in some cases. Xiaomi 14 ultra china version 1.0.8 introduces a lot of improvements to the hdr camera. I have 2 14 ultras, 1 china version 1.0.8, 1 global version 1.0.3, and there is no difference in the photos and videos of these 2 devices.
Any comment on the shutter lag on Xiaomi 14 Ultra? DXOmark reports around 300-500ms latency from pressing the button to taking the photo. Have you had a chance to test this on moving subjects? This is a known issue on samsung, but the first time I see it reported on this Xiaomi
Comparing the two, I see the advantages of the 14 ultra, if I would had have the 13 ultra I wouldn't get the 14, as I did with the xperias..Still on the fence of this or the vivo x100 pro as I like some of the filters better on the vivo, but the x14 also has a camera kit...choices choices.
The 14U updates have not yet arrived and with them the optimization of the cameras, but in several results they look better in the 13U and obviously it should not be like that
@@DariuszTech Thank you for you fast answer. Very difficult to konw if it is worth the risk or not. It is nighmare if sombody has to worry hole time if lens i in fog or not.
