@_1MSC trust me this is the best value for money phone. Instead of buying less featured iPhone 15, this or Vivo x100 are the best choices. Since X14 has SD 8 Gen 3 and it is compact, I purchased this. The battery lasts for one full day with moderate use. I play Modern Warships and Zombie Waves for like Half hours each. Watch content on youtube and Netflix. Still managed to leave 30-40 percent battery at the end of the day. If you are buying one do buy from an offline store. After all you are putting your hard earned money into this. Purchasing from the online market is prone to get scammed.
@@pranavdcpatilwell same here 🎉 I bought it around a month & it's been holding pretty much osm hw ur's found anything that u don't like or wish too share with us
It is infact Pretty osm just two to concerns after about it just charge is very fast there is no concern about that but the heating issue it is there trust me even after a major problem there is a heating issue when is the camera it definitely does heat up and at sometimes even after in given back cover applyed
I own the Xiaomi 13. I recently thought i'd try apple for the first time ever, and purchase the 15 Pro. The camera on the apple was amazing. Great pics. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get used to the apple UI. I went back to the Xiaomi/Adnroid.
If you think the camera on iPhones is great, take it out for a spin at night. You'll experience such bad lens flares and ghosting you'll never touch it again.
@cytramon3882 why not? They're both similar specs, size, price, screen refresh rate. Iphone 15 is more like a budget phone. X14 is a full flagship just like 15 pro
Until last week I still been rocking the xiaomi note 9 pro incredible phone for the money but last week I purchased a iPhone 14 Pro Max dear me stunning videos and photos your channel made my mind up lol so thanks Simon best wishes Phil from Shrewsbury TFS. 👍
you should see the xaomi 14 ultra. it has a legitimate aperture control and it has an external attachment that has it function like a dedicated dslr camera. you can put nd filters on the cameras and the like
A fair assessment is like this... what percentage is the Xiaomi price cheaper? then imagine the results of the iPhone camera being reduced by that percentage... which one is better? that's a fair way to compare.
All the time good, seriös informations and reviews. I like your feeling to make nice fotos and I like the Xiaomi 14. For me this Xiaomi is a very, very good phone but for me. Americans btw have always iphone on her mind.
Mr. Simon, thanks for objective videos, I liked them. I also like your pronunciation and accent because it's very helpful for improve my English skills. ((: Thank you so much from Turkey 🙏
I accidentally saw your video after recommending RU-vid. Very nice useful videos. Please also make a video about Samsung galaxy A54. I would like to know your opinion about this smartphone. Is this a smartphone suitable for shooting videos?
The oneplus 12 is going head to head against the Xiaomi 14 when it comes to price to performance ratio and im quite torn between the two, will there be a comparison with these devices?
Let's be real - iPhone's camera is superior. This comes from Android user. Skies can't and should not simply disappear from the photo and iPhone follows this path. However is all of this worth almost the double of price difference (in my country). I would probably say no.
i sold my iphone 15 and bought xiaomi 14, only because of the camera. it's amazing. i like it a lot, and i prefer much xiaomi 14 color over iphone colour.
iPhone no longer authoritative for video. Cinematic mode is just a rich person's toy.As for android third-party cameras are the deciding factor here. Snapdragon processor ensures stable cinematic results when shooting with apps like with mcpo24fps. No fps limitations, up to 500mbps. So, forget iphone.
cinematic mode is not a toy, maybe you don't have any use for it but it's actually a professional tool. a toy is something that's of no use, if it's useful, it's not a toy. its software mastery at its finest. tell me a dslr that can change the depth of field after you shoot with it. and this is coming from an s24 ultra user. wish I had that feature.
@@BLAKEEATS1988 Exactly, it's just a toy. Artificial blur looks amateurish. You can do it in any editor if needed. Maybe it looks cool for your socials but this tool has nothing in common with cinematic video.
@@Ashly-hm5bq just because you don't use it or don't know how to use it or other phones don't have it doesn't make it a toy. again, I got to get this through your thick head. it's an built in program, you don't need to get another confusing third party app to do this as it works well when used natively meaning other programs can do it but this is actually tailor made for the iPhone. there's actually some shots made by directors and professionals that use this. it sounds to me like your the type that prefers carburators over fuel injection, horses to cars, and candles to light bulbs. if people think like you, there wouldn't be any innovation at all. skepticism at its finest.
@@BLAKEEATS1988 if you need an iphone functions - buy it. Not an android. Learn that there is more than your opinion about what is cinematic. Apparently you have your own unresolved issues with your head.
@@Ashly-hm5bq I have an s24 ultra, you know, a device that's far more complex and feature packed than iPhone. clearly youre not into tech so I suggest you watch something that you can actually comprehend.
I would get the Xiaomi, but I'm worried about the camera fogging up. Paying 1000€ for a phone and having to deal with such an issue is unacceptable IMO.
Did you face any lenses fogging during your night video shooting? Ive got the Xiaomi 14 and it keeps fogging in 1minute even if the temperature is 18°C outside. Pretty disappointing regarding how much it costs.
Right - but there is a weird way to get rid of: remove SIM card (leave the slot open), put the phone upright with slot pointing upwards and finally, record for some hours a HD video to heat up the phone. That should evaporate the humidity.
I personally don't really count a log profile unless they publish the transform functions, wouldn't the camera manufacturer want people to be able to convert their footage? From what I read, they have a random hodge podge of different specs, but no published transfer function, so not really useful in professional workflows using color management. If you want to make a good camera profile, publish the whitepaper, so everyone knows the color gamut and transfer function. It's not complicated, its a 3-4 page PDF with some equations, etc. I almost consider unknown log profiles as worse than a standard color profile. DJI is also guilty of this with DLog-M...
In Movie Mode, it switches you to the main wide cam and there's no options to switch cameras. Plus there is no video portrait mode (only photo). Do you have a link to that review?
Apart from the size, the comparison is not fair with this phone because this one is the normal version of the Xiaomi 14 . a big difference in price too And I'm not a big fan of Xiaomi. Pixel 💪🏻
You didn't give the Xiaomi a fair shot, your style of review suits more video shooters, and the iPhone has hands down the best video system on the market, in photos pictures should be not pixel peeped, but at least compared on a laptop, you just took some snaps, and call it a day, you should be more thorough next time, the Xiaomi is for sure a better picture taker
Does anyone have problems with camera fogging (going from warm to cold or vice versa) in Xiaomi 14 ? I'm also interested in the battery life (if someone uses 2 SIM cards, a little playing games, a little photography, using it for surfing the Internet and social networks / applications, while the mobile Internet is turned on non-stop)?
My friend let me use his iPhone 14pro and told me that I'd never go back to Android once I use an iPhone 😄 I returned his iPhone on the 2nd day. No freedom at all. iPhone users don't realise how much freedom Android users have. iPhone doesn't even have a universal back button ffs 😂
These phones are really neck and neck. On the Iphone you get more premium build and a smaller size. Xiaomi build quality feels just awfully cheap (that is what made me think about 15 pro when I handled xiaomi in the store). On the Xiaomi side you get much faster charging and more memory for less money. As for the HyperOS - I would say stay away from all smart home systems and IOT stuff. I don't agree with other comments that you should compare it to ultra variant. Maybe Ultra And Promax, but these phones are in the same league. Nice review, thanks.
i bet you money on xiomi build quality is superior to iphone even a little force to bend iphone frame and it bends with back glass shatters and pop up.On the other hand xioami is rock solid much more resistent to drops and scratches. You can go watch drop ,bend and durability tests. Apple makes the outer frame of their phones cheap and breakable materials so they can charge money to people. And that titanium is just a milimater thick coating rest is aliminum they just malevolent mate.
