MIUI must be great in China, but even with a global rom, it's not going to be prioritised for the western world. Lazy scamsung is all we have, their software is top notch.
@@niphanif Yes, the battery lasts as long as any other non-foldable flagship (Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Find X6 Pro, Magic5 etc), and beats every single foldable in battery life, quite impressive

Been using the xiaomi fold 3 for 2 weeks now after coming from the Samsung Fold 4 which went kaput after a yearwith a malfunctioning inner screen. In a word, amazing. The fold 3 is a technical marvel. I love the device and its slimmer profile. I find muself using the outer screen more due to its proper size compared to the told 4 and when fully opened, it is a delight tor media consumption. The only negative is that it cannot connect to my garmin venu 2 or android auto. The set up to use google was fairly smooth. Best fold indeed.
Good to know as i placed an order last night for my unit. As a Samsung Fold 3 daily power user for the last 2 years, i feel this Xiaomi is what Samsung Fold 5 should have been to keep me going on the Galaxy line. Way more excited about the hardware and design than i ever was since i migrated to the Folding world of smartphones.

@@aleks4067 i switched to Xiaomi Fold 3 from Samsung Fold 3(which i still have as a backup) so i can compare first hand the ecosystems. Battery life is about 20-30% higher in terms of same use case scenario. It's a long time i haven't been so excited to use a new phone like i have been with the current Xiaomi & the downside in my experience has been a less optimised software in terms of little things that matter like Google Maps(still not running correctly in walk mode). Other than that i wouldn't switch back to the Samsung Fold unless they increase at least similarly the front screen display and the foldable one in same or better thiness. Go for it.
Even though i have a fold 5 im really having to restrain myself from picking one of these up. Want to see what One plus comes up with first on their foldable. This was an outstanding review though!
I'd like to mention that Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is not the first foldable phone to feature a quad cameras sensors with 2 zoom lenses, it is the Huawei Mate X2. Awesome video by the way 👍

Now that I have the 120 watt charger idk if I could go down in charging tech lol. It's ridiculous most of the time, but man when you need it, it's a real life saver. 0-50% in less than 10 mins is really helpful.

I wasn't going to comment however, since the Xiaomi 13, you can see that the xiaomi cameras don't seem to, at least they don't bring me that "Cellphone camera" thing. The coloring, lighting, among others, you can see that Xiaomi, together with LEICA, is working to really look like photographs taken by DSLR
If the Z fold 6 looks like this with the same size or even bigger, it's game over. It'll be so nice to have 6.8" outer display and over 8" for inner display.
Xiaomi is the best digital innovative company but Their Front camera video resolution wasn’t up to the mark.Everything is top class spec but 4k video recording option will be must.Xiaomi can produce front camera 4k 60 fps video.
After using my Pixel 6 Pro for almost a year, I feel cringe to hold a phone with circular curves (including iPhones lol) in top and bottom corners. This phone seems to be a very comfortable option for me as a foldable device. Love my Pixel and waiting for Galaxy S24U🥰
The only thing stopping me buying one is the CN software, lock screen notifications dont display on every CN handset i have bought, all have the same issue, a real pity because Samsung know thye have the market sewn up, they need this to come to global markets so they get a bloody nose!
I think it's becoming really necessary to separate Foldable phones from Tablet phones. Phones like Pixel Fold or Mix Fold 3 are cool. But they are just phones that unfold into a phone with a bigger screen. The lack of stylus support, bad multi tasking/split screen and software that lacks tablet features/inner screen optimisation makes it pretty impossible to use them like tablets. Z Fold or Magic V2 actually can be used like small tablets = Tablet Phones. Pixel Fold, Mix Fold 3, X Fold 2 etc are Foldable Phones.
@@XdekHckr What are you even talking about... First of all: Magic V2 does have 5g and will have an official western release. You might as well use your time checking your facts instead of spreading misinformation. Secondly: well, yes. Tablet Phones exist. Foldable phones that can operate as a tablet. Which the Z Fold can do. It has the necessary software capabilities as well as SPen support to perfectly substitute a tablet. It literally is a small tablet. Whereas other foldable phones are literally just phones with a second bigger screen. Awful multitasking, worse app compatibility, no SPen support etc. They can't substitute a tablet.
This also has water resistance, but they do not pay the $30 for the IP rating. That IP rating is just marketing and unnecessary per se, especially as water damage voids the warranty anyway, even on the Galaxy Fold! I wouldn't say I like OneUI and prefer most Chinese ROMS.
Wish they would have used that large camera area to have a small screen in it like the 11 Ultra. That way you can still use the main cameras without having the whole phone unfolded
My Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 1TB is on HyperOS and there are 2 software bugs: 1. Battery Protection I set it to 80% but my phone charges to 100%. 2. WhatsApp calls coming in has ringtone, but the screen is still showing homescreen and when the phone is locked, the lock screen doesn't show.
Is there any official source where it says how many PWM the display has? Does it have the DC Dimming option? Does activating it change the color of the display?
Three generations in, the ugly duckling has not only grown up to be a beautiful swan, but has also reached maturity. The Mix Fold 3 is Xiaomi's latest attempt at a phone-turns-tablet style of foldable and we're really liking it.
i got both in USA on Tmobile. Software lagging like crazy for Xiaomi bro. I like the Galaxy Fold 5 better. Better experience on Samsung. However camera on mix fold 3 better than Samsung.
@anymeans82 5G speeds are great. Now gps works great after a few days. It seems like when it's overcast gps sucks. Every thing else is great. Software shocked me how good the experience is compared to my zfold5.

Sorry....but how can you call it the best foldable? Obviously the software is half baked and any hardware without software doesn't mean that much.... and what about the two clocks in the folded aspect......honestly....i was expecting more from your review....
I honestly wonder, something personal, if TechNick can speak Chinese. In a few videos he's revealed that he had lived in China for years, before moving back to South Africa, and no one speaks english in china.
Not just front camera. MIX Fold 3 is missing 4K on both 3.2x and 5x zoom cameras. It's missing even 1080p 30fps on the 5x zoom camera. There's 8K 30fps missing. Super Steady Video is at 1080p only. No one talks about that and just says oh look, MIX Fold 3 has such great cameras.
I have the Fold 3 and am enjoying it very much. Given that it has Google Play I had few problems setting it up down here in NZ. The only problem I have is that some apps such as Rotten Tomatoes displays in Chinese only despite deleting and reinstalling many times. Are there any solutions here?
honor foldable imo is better. huawei is still the best though too expensive. samsung is the worst of all but remains the only pratocal option in the west.
The cellular network connection in my phone seem to be very strong when my phone screen is locked even when I am not using the phone, if I tap the screen I will see about 10mb/s reading but once I open my phone, it will drop to 12kb/s. Please can you help to explain this hypothetical phenomenal?
Would you say this phone is best fordable phone if you compare this phone with Honor Magic V2 regardless of global ROM not available? Honor has a bit more battery, lighter, better hinge.
