the most complete midrange phone specs ever. minus 5g. having amoled screen, high refresh rate, headphone jack, IR blaster, sd card slot, stereo speaker, large battery capacity.
Sometimes i feel like we take midrange SoC for granted these days. I remember back in first Moto G days. Snapdragon 400 in less than $200 phone was a Huge deal and everyone praised its performance. Now, snapdragon 700 series is on basically $200ish phone and everyone put it as a compromise
Times are a changing, and we need to be better, we should expect better, we deserve better.but looking back, it's amazing how tech and the market has evolved.
@@sneaky82 installing custom rom is not a solution for many. To install custom rom you will need to unlock bootloader, at this point you will loose access to most banking apps for example, they checking if the phone has custom rom, root or unlocked bootloader and won't start.
redmi note 10 has amoled, sd slot, stereo speakers, audio jack, relatively good camera *quad camera*, IR blaster, finger print at the side comes in 4GB or 6GB or 64GB or 128GB and its cheaper than the redmi note 10 pro. But if the note 10 pro falls in your budget then go ahead its still a great deal.
I just bought this phone online on the tail-end of the month of July, and I've got to say, this is by far the best budget smartphone I've owned.I just sold my previous phone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, and upgraded to this one, and in all honesty, it's everything I want in a budget smartphone- excellent battery life; great display (120hz is a very sweet cherry on top); good haptics; fast performance;super fast charging (at 33W); plenty of internal storage (128GB), and and excellent camera. For the price, it's definitely a great phone.
@@m_m2928 Yes, it's still performing very well.Honestly, when using the 120 Hz option, you basically wouldn't want to go back to 60Hz anymore; it's just too smooth at 120Hz.The battery life is also excellent, charging from 0 to 100% in 75 minutes.
@@m_m2928 I think they are mentioning the adds that pop up whenever you you download an app, which does on a lot of Xiaomi phones, and there's the issue also of Xiaomi phones having preloaded apps which some of us don't need, but you can disable them.Other than that though, the performance is great on this phone, honestly.
@@osman0143 Not rly, my poco serves me well and I absolutely had to upgrade cuz my old phone was a laggy mess that couldnt run a game without losing half a battery. I got it at a bargain for $230 and have kept it intact, and im sure I could resell it very nicely.
@@korosensei4384 Yeah. Poco x3 is excellent phone for his price. Xiaomi= Honest price. But note 9 series buyer excatly feel sorry because poco is better than it. And Xıaomı launch phones really frequently.
@@osman0143 yeah redmi note series has had its ups and downs, I stopped paying attention to them after RN 7 series (I got my brother one for birthday and my friend bought the same one, they were a huge jump in every direction, especially design). Now with RN 10, they are back on my radar and I want one 🤩
Finally, the Redmi series got an AMOLED display. It's great that they didn't compromise with the refresh rate. Though I'd have preferred even 90 Hz with a little better SoC.
The IR Blaster is awesome!!! Xiaomi is the only company which gives IR blaster in 2021, which makes me buy their phones all the time. My Xiaomi Note 5 Pro lasted 4 years. Its was complete bang for buck for me.
2 years later, I still see no reason to change from this phone🔥🔥🔥!!!! It's still super amazing even by today's standards,it's holding up pretty damn well!!
Sell it then, and +some cash for this one. I have done my research and this one completes every darn features smartphones have except SD700 series. You wouldn't regret
@@pantheratigris9963 actually I really prefer one ui a lot more than miui. I've never used miui but it doesn't look appealing, would like to see this kind of quality and this price point in a Samsung... I still love Samsung but definitely going downhill from when the S8 was alive
I have to agree with your last statement. ppl think they will not need a flagship soc and a good display will make a huge difference but in reality only people like you and me will notice a high res high refresh rate display and since the majority of consumers are not at all tech savvy having neither of these will really be felt
Of course keep in mind that the features on this budget phone are BETTER than the FLAGSHIP phones produced 6 yrs ago, and yet somehow people managed to pay $1000+ and make them work. So, yeah, even this new budget phone is really loads more than most people need, but we just want it. 😊
Arguably one of the best midrange phones of all time with extremely great value for money. We'll have to wait and see what Samsung Galaxy A52 has to offer; but nevertheless, this is extremely great value for money.
@Elvis Mendonca I want a good screen so that's where I favor Redmi Note 10 Pro Max because Mi 10i has a LCD screen whereas as this one has a higher quality AMOLED screen.
@Elvis Mendonca Hell NO! I'm never going for a Samsung phone in my life unless it's an S series phone. My dad recently bought Samsung A71 and it's just horrible for the price. It's just 4 months old and lagging a lot now. Half the time apps fail to load completely. I'm pretty sure it's half because of the Eynonos chipset on it. I don't have too much requirements but I'm not going buy a Samsung phone for that.
@Elvis Mendonca I know it's a Chinese brand but I've had really bad experience with Samsung phones in the past and that's the reason I can't trust them. I already told you about my problems with the Galaxy A71. If a mid-ranger fron Samsung isn't performing good, how do you expect me to trust them on a budget phone? The last time I bought a Samsung phone for myself was J5 Prime it was so bad that I had to change phones in just 5 months after I got that one.
This was what people always begged Xiaomi for. 120Hz + OLED. They even forced a 108MP for our troubles. Although SD 888 or at least 765G would sound great, it's definitely overkill and 732G is good enough. Even then, the K40 Pro (or whatever the global name for that is) got you covered! Xiaomi is going to KILL IT in 2021.
@@WhatsThisOwO The K30 became Poco X2 and K30 Pro became Poco F2 pro internationally last year, So it's highly possible K40 series gonna be rebranded as Poco phones.
Had it been the rumoured 750 instead of the 732, this phone would be even more of a steal, but as it stands, my Redmi Note 9 Pro shall stay with me for the rest of the year as I wait for the next one That being said, if you're upgrading from a Note 8 Pro or even the Note 7, definitely go for this one; there's a LOT to like about this phone
Got mine last night at Aliexpress launch with a huge discount! Can't wait for it arrrive! Thank you for the video very much! I was going to get the note 9 pro but after this video I made my mind.
Reading the comment section i noticed some comments about Xiaomi's phone being buggy and not durable. Since my first Xiaomi (Redmi note 2) like 10 years ago i never have problems with the OS nether the hardware it self. Still these days i still think Xiaomi is the option to go, specially the "Note" versions.
Thanks GSM Arena team for reviewed this smartphone, this is a good mid range phone, and make xiaomi note 10 pro as a overwhelming refresh rate phone in mid range
While Samsung and Apple have been to busy chasing the premium customer, they have all but forgotten the mid range budget customer who doesn't want to spend £$€1000 plus every time on a new phone. The results for Xiaomi speak for themselves, they've targeted the every day consumer who just wants good quality and enough to get by, but pushing that envelope further each time with specs in a budget phone that used to be exclusively reserved for a premium device, 108mp camera, amoled screen. This is a mid range market Xiaomi have exploited to its full potential and people are responding in their droves with phones that are affordable and still give great performance for every day use. Xiaomi I salute you!!!
Excellent Phone, my only gripe is, it's hit or miss with the cam when in a low light situation. - I'm still using it though after 18months. Daytime photos and video are excellent imo.
after watch this vid in 1080, The main camera is surprisingly sharp and good. While the ultrawide is mediocre. And this one can run Asphalt quite good ! "Cheap phones getting better" 🤩
Xiaomi : hey samsung, i wanna order your 120hz AMOLED display Samsung : what for? Xiaomi : just for our flagship Samsung : ok then... Here u goo Xiaomi : release redmi note 10 with 120hz AMOLED and $199 Samsung : ???? Wait???!!!! Thats illegal!!!!!
Agree. That's a chinese tactic to destroy competitors. They can do that because they got heavily subsidized by their government. Once they dominate the market, they'll increase the price. If true, Samsung should halt the supply. Breach the contract because they breach first.
@@jacwi8719 Samsung did the same. When it was new on the market it grew through selling phones with good price ration and then slowly increased the price every year.
sab log brands se phones ke sath sath paisa bhi chahiye, so they can only talk good things about phones, this has been current situation of indian youtubers, xiaomi has taken good steps.
I'm still using redmi note 10 pro (64mp variet) and I'm planning to keep it at least another 2 years. Display is great, camera is still pretty awesome but the battery life is not as good as it used to be & some miui bugs here & there otherwise still a solid phone
April 2022 and I have just ordered this phone as my upgrade. I can't wait for receive it and get my macro photography on. This really is an amazing phone for the price. If i remember, I will come give an update on this phone after a month or so of actual use. Thanks for the review man.
finally! an amoled screen with fingerprint sensor on the lock button, and still got the 3.5mm jack. Perfect phone. I'll switch my Galaxy Note 10+ to this lol. Too bad the 5G version isn't available in my country
Nice review. I am buying this phone a year later...still seems great value for the price, though if Poco F3 had been a bit cheaper where I live, I would have chosen that for performance.
It's literally a steal for this price, just a year and a half ago the note 8 pro had a 60hz ips display, the only thing I think xiaomi could improve with the note line is the chipset and storage capacity, other than that they're at an absolute peak
The ads actually can be disabled... All of them... And miui 12 is just great... You'll only understand when you start using it.. coming from a Redmi note 9 pro max user
@@nightwing8525 This phone will be another best selling midrange smartphone, again, and again with next Poco iteration. So millions of millions of Xiaomi's user would disagree with you lol.
What is the difference between the EU version and the Other Are Version? Software but what exactly? I'm in Australia should I get the EU version? Are there adds on the Other Are Version?
@@kevinccce It's good, I'm not a heavy user, I don't play games, using this a daily driver, with 120hz on, it can easily give 24 hours, and with 60hz you can expect 40+ hours.
@@bmhater1283 i had to reset my phone to get it working properly again and I'm yet to receive the android 11 update and what's more funny is that when android 11 beta was announced realme 3 pro wqs one of the few which had early access 🙂
