Just like last year's chipset, the SD 685 on the Redmi Note 12 4g doesn't have a 4k@30fps option for video recording, while performance is better. But, for a budget smartphone it's still decent.
Still waiting for planet mars version 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm too tired for this version, that version, Europe version, Asian version.. Xiaomi should make a phone for every country..
This phone is awesome. Very smooth and feels nice to hold. Obv this is a budget-friendly phone so don’t expect the best specs, but it’s good enough to run Genshin Impact at medium graphics and Mobile Legends at ultra. Worth every penny if you ask me ;)) P.s. try to get the 8/256 variant if you can! 4gb ram is pretty bad nowadays even for light usage
@@promiseakachukwu8100 very fucking bad. Just bought one... I dont understand anything if I put on my youtube videos... very disappointed... I wasnt even thinking that this in 2023 could be a problem. But here we are! Dont buy!
I watch this video with Xiaomi Redmi 12 ❤ Very satisfied so far for daily work usage. The speaker is mono but still have great loudness tho I usually using Bluetooth speaker to listen music. The camera is great too. Not yet try games but for this range of price. It's absolutely great 👍
I was shook when I saw the Redmi Note 12 with 8GB/256GB for a cheaper price than the price of my Redmi Note 11 with 6GB/128GB (bought when it was releases), at the same official store here.
nice phone for my mother. she only use phone for social media so it's great in her hands 😂 the most important part is the 256gb rom (her old phone has only 64gb and it was annoying her with full storage warning every time she tries to do anything lol
This is much better than the 5G phones in my country. Having a 5G phone is still useless, so it's better to go for the RN12 4G instead for the camera and battery if you're in the Philippines.
Hello I just got mine is well however I have this problem where the camera icon of the phone has a small red dot on the corner, I don't know what that means
I bought one in Poland for....87$ (4G - 4/128 version). One carrier (PLUS) had a pirce bug for one whole day, and since this phone was on my watchlist i snagged one right away for 350PLN local (87$).
I just bought one yesterday 11, April 2023, it's really lovely smooth n nice feel....redmi is making up for the uninteresting entry level n low budget phones they've produced lately..
I mean I have this phone for 1 year now, the best upgrade so it has better camera is just installing gcam and using it instead of the original camera. Overall it's a very good phone for it's price!
@@not.ziad1 not really, it has both in the 2 versions 4 gigs of ram and I have the 128 one, I mean it's pretty good at performance, you don't have to worry
Another year of SD685, bring on all the 4G entry/budget devices with this chip, as long as they are Value for Money just bring em All these comments about 5G but 5G is still in early deployment, also most 5G phones are gimmicks with only 2 5G bands but labeled as 5G devices to hype up sales
i use it to have access to android and its disposable enough i get a new one every other year . simply put for me user experience is better on android than ios
This phone was really to use until few month later when it just started to become slow and unresponsive at times. I did a full factory reset, and again was working nice and smooth until another few months when it had the same issue. Unfortunately is seems to be the case with most budget phones, once you start to fill up its memory with photos and app (internet banking, social media, youtube, messengers etc) they just can't perform as well
When you review camera please do close up microscope zoom on something small like a dead fly. Note the zoom, clarity and focal length of that. Needed for people who work on small items like electronics.
Main put off for me is this 4G version does not have NFC. But only the 5G one does. But it makes the phone about 30% more expensive than the 4G variant. That is seriously very strange why tyey did not include it when NFC based tap payments are starting to be the norm.
There are some versions having NFC in 4G version. It depends on the region. Global model doesn't include it. Try the model number ending "Y", it has the NFC.
I got this phone for $100 8/128. for my Mother-in-law and was suprised how well it is. It will be used mostly for RU-vid, facebook, messenger and candy crush type games. The best thing about this phone is the 120hz Amoled screen.
is it using the common 3-choose-2 hybrid SIM card tray? or does it retain Redmi Note 11's 2+1 SIM card tray which allows 2 SIM cards and 1 dedicated microSD slot?
@@B_L_A_C_K_000 i asked a few sellers on Shopee, they all said none of the Redmi Note 12 series has a dedicated microSD slot. GSMArena also states that the slot is shared, not dedicated. looks like they also never check properly before putting out the info...
True galaxy A is trash Samsung is only for flagship phones.. but I still have to say that xiaomi has bugs while galaxy A has many more features that don't bug also Samsung has better cameras But sure the performance goes to xiaomi. Its way smoother and faster
@@wheelyflac OneUI is worst buggy UI lag every where. Sure Samsung apps have feature, expensive phone for low specs. A13 and A14 4g is same price as Redmi note 12. Samsung camera is good if you like over saturated photos. And you don't need Knox for ordinary use.
@howwong4373 one ui has nearly zero bugs but it has laggy animationz and worse performance galaxy A devices I use galaxy phones since galaxy s2 then galaxy core prime then j5pro and now a32 4g there's no bugs that's for sure. All the features are working properly they ui is just laggy
Better yet, try to find the Redmi Note 10 Pro from 2 years ago - same processor, better cameras, 4K Video, stereo speakers. Seems like Xiaomi got some chips left behind from the 10 Pro factory and wanted to reuse them. The phone seems like an incarnation of the 10 Pro, except worse.
I have one here with me but to be sincere, I'm far from satisfactory. My expectations are not met. The phone isn't responsive, lags a lot. Maybe software update can do the needful. If not, I'm done buying Redmi phones....
@@MegaLoquendo2000 i found it for 174$ and even the cheapest x5 models are still relatively expensive compared to it, x5 also has a sd 695 now i do not know how much different these processors are, or how much more powerful the latter is, but compared to what i have now anything would feel like day and night
I have problem with this device 😭 I granted all permission on call log, camera, messages, microphone etc but there is no sound on whatsApp calls(video and voice). The caller is able to hear me but I can't hear me. Downloaded MP3 plays but no sound. Volume is to the maximum. Phone calls work perfectly I can hear the caller. Please help 🙏
Though it really has very nice screen and design (which is lost after putting a case ofc) and charges very fast, the phone freezes often, lags from time to time and in general seems like it needed some more RAM. I am struggling a lot sticking with it and I dont feel it was a good replacement for my Redmi Note 8 pro
@@MashrurHasan803 Not anything demanding. I used to do the same with my old Redmi Note 8 Pro and was behaving better. Google Maps, Android Auto, Photos, Videos, Calls...
@@ForPeakTankyou should get at least the 6 GB version, it much better. I'm currently using the 6 GB and it works quite well, although there's a few hiccups here and there, but mostly the performance is quite decent. And yeah, Snapdragon 685 is still slower compare to Helio G90T, it still packs old Cortex A73 architecture compare to A76 on Helio G90T, and don't forget Andreno 610 is a weak GPU.
A lot of camera terminology most look the same to me. Seems like every reviewer is a photography expert. Also xiaomi has 60 fps recording in the Chinese version but disabled it for the global version of the RN12.
@dancinglight8545 It doesn't seem like a recent processoris is necessary for 60 fps. The redmi note 11 global (sd 680) could record 60 fps but Xiaomi disabled it after updating the phone.
After readin from Xiaomi website, other websites and youtube review stating the Note 12 4G support NFC, I went ahead and buy one but only to find out that only the 5G model support NFC. What a disappointment.
5G in my country is a mess. Introduced 5G with expensive data plan & worst you need to pay additional fees for access. Even with access the speed is sub-par at best 500-600mbps with significantly lower upload
Snapdragon 685 = 325 Gigaflops Snapdragon 855 = 699 Gigaflops Seriously, the chipsets nowadays should be equal or more powerful than the ones they used in 2019
They cut too many corners, even the vibration motor is the old crappy one instead of the higher end Z-axis from previous Note generations. Haptics on this phone are sub par and its cameras are bad. Though for a daily driver it's more than enough and will definitely get you by. Also PSA, the "23028RA60L" variant does NOT include NFC. Be on the lookout.
Not good enough for multitasking, even going from chrome to facebook for example will cause them to restart most of the times you switch between them, the virtual ram doesn't help at all, even with 3gb activated.
Totally agree and I would say that Xiaomi website has refused to publish my review of the phone 3 times. It is hot garbage. I was taken in by positive reviews like this one and techspurt, the phone is unusably bad.
I have this phone, the GPS drops out, so you can't use it for any journey over 40mins it requires a reboot to get GPS back and the bluetooth audio cuts in and out, and no ARCORE support yet. unfinished phone needs a major update with fixes for basic stufff
