Cool the battery with ice cubes in a in a plastic bag. Once the temperature is near 4C the addesive losses much of its stickiness. I tried it for other mobiles and it worked fine. It may work for this model too.

Finally a decent video! My screen was on all the time, so needed to remove the battery or the connector to it, it was kind of hard to remove the cover but finally I was able to do it! Now it all seems to work, thank you

My phone has two screws at the bottom which need to be unscrewed first. When through the usb port, be careful not breaking the pins inside.

Thanks, I just did it, I had the same problem with the glue, when I pried a few sparks came out of the battery XD I had a bit of nerves but I was able to take it out and change it for the new one, all very easy especially with the video guide :D

Anyone know what the tapes does? Usually companies do not iclude extra steps or material - even tape. ***UPDATE*** the tape strips are anti static strips. I'd replace them.

Wow, there are 2 data connector tapes under battery, and those looks unprotected. So taking plastic sheet to cut out gum tape is not a good idea :/

Removing the battery is a very precarious thing... one wrong move and the battery can explode and fry the phone, hurt yourself and also cause a fire hazard. If you are not experienced in battery replacement, its best to take the phone to a qualified repairman who will replace the battery for you. I am speaking from experience. I pulled a similar stunt when I tried removing the battery on my Xiaomi Mi Al. The battery during the removal process got bend (similar to how it happened in this video) and started to smoke and eventually burnt up while being inside the phone. It was not a pretty sight and pretty scary ....

And the more scary bit about this video is that the battery that got bent is reinserted back into the phone. I really wouldn't take that risk as a battery that got flexed can leak and explode anytime....
