I'm waiting for this baby to pop up on AliExpress any day now for normal price! It's a gorgeous package for such a low price! I'm planning to switch my Lenovo M10 plus 3 gen for this one. I think it's even better than the new Lenovo P12 matte. (Slightly smaller display makes for better ergonomic yet it's big enough)

@@TKBay I'll wait. On Ali they root the device installing global firmware on Chinese-bought pads. This results in permanently fixed Android version, but a much cheaper pad, like $100-150 less than on global market. Delivery takes one month but it's worth it. You can almost buy two pads for the price of your locally-sold one.

Not being able to charge magnetically is an extreme kick in the nuts. There was no reason why they couldn't implement that feature. And of course no backlit keyboard or touchpad. Piss off, Xiaomi.

Yup seems like a donwgrade from the 870 mi pad 6. Atleast could have gone with the 7+ gen2/3 or even 888+. xiaomi as always reusing chips whhich would have gone to waste in low end tablets.

@@reynold99991 This is a redmi pad not a xiaomi pad. Redmi are the budget option. There's a xiaomi pad 6s which has an 8 gen 2 SOC.

@@reynold99991 using 7+ gen 2/3 or even 888+ will increase the final price by 15% to 40% (depending on the SOC) 7s Gen 2, which is basically perform 5% worse than 7 Gen 1, but it has 10% batter efficiency (also less heat) It's more like OC version of 6 Gen 1 (which is slightly better than 695).. so yeah 7s Gen 2 is not bad, it's above decent, especially in efficiency, it's like 750G back in 2020.. no one talked about it, but it performed good enough & was cheap & everywhere
