Много благодаря за така изчерпателното обяснение. Търсех си камера за камиона и благодарение на теб я намерих. Thank you very much. This is my Dash Cam.
Много ми стана приятно че ревюто на тази камера е от улиците на София. Имах преди 70mai, сега минах на Azdome GS36, но точно това Ксаоми много ме влече. Поздрави от Швейцария !

Spent last few hours searching for the world of Dashcams, mostly disappointed with their quality (as total beginner), saw some of your other useful reviews but THIS one got me sold out just when I thought I will go with VIOFO A119 V3 or VIOFO A129. Finally a 4K cam that doesn't look like absolute pixelated mess, thank you very much!
Very good video. You are the only one that answered my questions regarding the rear camera; specifically what does it look like and how to mount it. Now I will buy one.
4:33: good example how NOT to place the cable if your car has side airbags. Because the side airbags go from the A-pillar to the back side of the rear door, and the cable has to be placed somewhere crossing the airbag. That's why i removed the roof on the side a little and placed the cable behind the airbags... (no crossing the airbags at the A-pillar, where the cable goes to the front camera). The installation lasts longer but it worths for the safety.
Never thought of that and this is indeed a great point! Will make a note about that in future videos. The next dashcam video is already finished (about to be published in one or two weeks), but I promise the one after will have this info.
Thanks for the video! When you say the parking mode on battery lasts about 10 minutes, do you mean 10 min after you activate the parking mode, or 10 min after an incident occurs and the camera starts recording?
It is an approximate value and is meant to give you estimation about the total operating time. If accident occurs - the camera will record for a minute, then go back to sleep. Until the next accident.
I think it hasn't changed much, just added all the options that already existed on the 70mai pro d02 with the GPS purchased separately. I think upgrading to record a few seconds before impact would be more interesting. What's the use of a super image, if you can't find the culprits of an accident in parking mode? first because it takes 2 to 3 seconds to record this is a long time for a car that passes by and doesn't stop. Here it will be practically a bigger expense, being the 70mai pro D02 does the same and has the same flaws.
@@TechMishkaReading what I write ... 2 or 3 seconds is a lot ... And I have a bigger scratch and the other car .... Where? Who? the camera didn't even have time to record it.

There are too many dash cams which it’s impossible to count, i want your opinion in the best dash cam which is heat resistance, wifi, film while the car is off, and car battery safe. I would really appreciate your opinion. Thank you so much for your big help

Great Video. I have all 70Mai dash camera. Interested to buy this due to annoying problem with GPS base on 70Mai Pro. But it is seem we cannot hide speed indicator on this 70Mai A800.
You mentioned parking mode without the hardwire kit is available for 10 minutes. Did you mean 10 minutes worth of recording? Or 10 minutes from the moment you shut off the engine?
There is. But it is based on the gravity sensors - only switches ON if there's impact or shake. So it will miss an actual accident and start filming after it.
Hey, have you tested DDPAI Mini5 dashcam? Looks very interesting too and i am wondering between this 70mai and DDPAI wich would be better. I can't really find any reviews about DDPAI Mini5 except couple of record videos on youtube
Homer Simpson Only without the rear camera. If you connect the rear camera the front only records in 2K. You can verify this in the settings. Connect rear camera and choose resolution. No 4K anymore. Edit. It seems to have changed. *In front-vision recording mode, the max resolution is 3840*2160. In dual-vision recording mode, the max resolution for front and rear view will be 2560*1600 and 1920*1080 respectively. Since we have hit the 600K goal, our second stretch goal is unlocked - A800 front dash cam's resolution in dual-vision is upgraded to 4K now! For details, please check our updates.
@@homersimpson22 No it's not, I just got my camera from this campaign. When rear camera is attached front dash Cam is lowered to 2k and rear is 1080P. I know I have this cam and just got it a few days ago.
@@RU-vid_Nr.1 Thats funny, because I just got my Cam from your Campaign a few days ago and It does not support 4k recroding when dual cameras are recording. only front is 2k and rear is 1080P. Do I need to return my A800 Did i get an older version or something? Please reply.
Could you please also review the latest DDPAI mini 5 equipped with the same IMX415 image sensor but Hi3559v100 CPU to see which one is better? Thank you :)
Hi there. Is it true that the 70Mai A800 4K is actually shared between the two front and read cameras? meaning the recording of each camera will be 2K as best? Could you confirm. Thank you Sam
Hello, I would greatly appreciate it, if you would be so kind as to tell me whether the dash cam overheats in the summer time or not, also some general info you might add after owning and using the product for a few months. I thank you in advance and have a wonderful day 😁
Hey, thanks for the question. I used it for about two weeks during the summer in one of the hotter areas in my country. Still - if you want peace of mind - check models with a supercapacitor.
Hello and thank you for uploading this video. I have just obtained this dash cam after someone damaged my car in a car park and left without giving details. Looking forward to using it. I ask why the small plastic sheet between the car windscreen and the Dash Cam. Is it needed for a reason, or to keep the glass clean for clarity or something in connection with the installation?
Hey Paul, thank you for your comment. First of all - I am really sorry to hear about your car's accident. As for the screen folio - this is a very smart idea - so that you actually stick the camera on the folio and not on the glass directly. Makes the removal much easier, and in most cases - keeps the adhesive tape reusable.
Great review! What would you choose between this and the viofo A129 Pro Duo? Or do you have any better recommendations for a dual dash cam at their price points? Thanks
@@LyashenkoSergiy 8K true sensor would be a downgrade for the purpose of dashcam, the footage will be 4 times bigger and the light photons will compete harshly. 4k is maybe an overkill, but the only benefit is to see the plate numbers better.
Great video! I'm looking to purchase one of these as my old 70mai seems to be malfunctioning. Is it possible to turn off all the speech on the dashcam so that it is always silent?
Suppose i want to shoot Video of both the doors at any specific time and do not want to shoot video of Front and Rear , then the SKYBLUESEA B2W & CAMSONIC ULTRA Z 2 & 3 Dash Cam Benefits if a person want to shoot a video outside the front doors sides Left & Right , would be easy to change the direction of both the Cams/Lens , option to Rotate , as they Rotates 180 degrees .I love those Dash Cams .
1. Does it supports photo taking while driving with voice activated? 2. Can it adjust the video length instead of just 1 minute length? 3. Does the package ship with the micro USB card? 4. What is the difference between "S" and non-S?
@@TechMishka Thanks. Too bad that they didn’t incorporate voice command, the older model has this feature, it is very useful to use voice command while driving.
I have a previous version of this dashboard camera and I noticed the same disadvantages in new version of 70Mai A800: - agressive sharpening - oversaturated colors - battery instead of capacitor - small and slippery navigation buttons without markings/pictograms - no dedicated CPL filter from the manufacturer I mentioned about buttons because I have some issues with voice control feature. It doesnt work properly in my camera, especially "Record Video". In this case I need to use physical button , which is tricky to use. In this model they did not add voice control feature so it is very strange why there is no bigger buttons especially emergency button in the middle with readable description on it.
And if you connect the rear camera the front only records in 2K! Edit. It seems to have changed. *In front-vision recording mode, the max resolution is 3840*2160. Hi, sir a800s the speed is not accurate as per the car meter. How can we make this correct? The other is I set the dashcam off after 5min in the parking. sir the dashcam will start automatically when we start driving. I am not using hardwire not required 24 hrs surveillance.
I think advanced buffering parking mode, time lapse configuration and Motion detection are very important in any dashcam. What's your opinion though between this dashcam and the 4K dual channel Viofo?
@@FERAS19881 I purchased two Viofo A119 V3 (front and back), after long research I couldn't find any dashcam (even 4K) that could beat the V3 when it comes to video quality day and night, specially capturing license plates when zoomed.
How is it better to stick the cam, esp the rear cam: entirely keeping the lens behind the electrostatic sticker, or, parially keeping the lens out of the sticker? Is the sticker transparent enough to allow crisp shooting through it, or does it have anti-UV properties?
Difference from 70mai pro are mostly 4K and rear view but you cannot have them at the same time "*In front-vision recording mode, the max resolution is 3840*2160. In dual-vision recording mode, the max resolution for front and rear view will be 2560*1600 and 1920*1080 respectively." This makes me thinking of staying with my pro that can have custom firmware for parking timelapse that can be a real game changer.
There will be a firmware update allowing front 4K and rear recording at the same time. As for the time-lapse custom firmware - can you please share a link about it?
thanks for the video , you said it supports up to 128 gb of sd card , but i researched and some users say it supports up to 256 gb , so i'm confused here , any thoughts ?
ADAS sounded so annoying in the demo that I can’t imagine anyone using it.XIAOMI should replace the slow robotic voice with warning beeps of different tonality depending on the event.
Just a question, with the desktop app from blackvue I am able to see the gps location, speed that was driven and also the adas parameters, what about this 70mai? What do they have?
True. I have a previous model 70mai pro which used the same Li battery, and the battery died within 2 years. When I searched the replace battery, I saw plenty reviews said the battery works great with they 70mai pro. Hahaha...
Can you instantly press a button and view rear camera ? So that you can use it as a backing up / parking camera. Or do you have to click more to get into menu ?
You say that this is not your dash cam you use because of the collision detection parking mode issue. Please tell me what is your the dash cam you personally use? with all important collision detection parking mode features present ...
Hello, one quick question...I have a Dacia Dokker with no rear window, and I was thinking to buy 70mai dascham wide to use as a rearview mirror. However, for a small price increase, the 800s offers much more recording quality and features. My question is, do you think 800s can be used as a rearview mirror - mainly for quick checking rear dead spots, given the small display size? Also, can it start by default in rearview mode? Thank you!
The parking sensor is absolutely okay, because in Estonia if someone hits your car then the guilty person's insurance will pay the damages and only way to get the compensation is too provide proof that someone has hit your car. With this parking sensor recording mode, the incident will be recorded Right after the collision, which will be suffice for the police.
I know that the gravity trigger isnt to your liking. They haven't figured out how to give precognition so it knows when the accident will happen and turn b4 the event. Will that work 4u?
Hi, I bought a rear camera a800s and I wanted to know if from the application on the phone I can see the rear camera. in real time like the one in front.can you help me ? thank you
I think you are the only one reviewer I've saw to mention that this damn camera have only collision detection parking mode, most mentions motion .. i have such a bad experience with these collision warning things
@@TechMishka spot on, if you are not aware of market you don't really know that not all parking modes are equal. I want to buy viofo a129 ( I think it's the one 4k ) or thinkware u1000 or vantrue n4. Since my bmw have like 60% battery health I'm worried about viofo's notorious battery coutout which during winter left some stranded ( as it cuts out, but during cold night battery can decrease even further ) , the u1000 have that super battery saving radar but it's 400€ + 80€ radar + 30€ obd 2 cable for hardwire which is quite a lot money. Then viofo I believe don't even have officially obd 2 cable. So I'm kinda confused what to take , vantrue have motion parking mode and official obd 2 hardwire , and a800 have basic parking mode ,but better quality. Alto as I can say, I've saw multiple of your reviews and all of them are very very nice informative , often informations noone else mentions ( like active S2 smart watch the Samsung battery drain apps, fiido m1 brakes upgrade needed ) like seriously good job 👍 you are quite small but really nice one
@@gamefoorum I am also confused which one to pick between Viofo 4K dual channel and 70Mai A800 dual channel :( I wish there was four channel dashcam, because I survived a deadly accident where a drunk driver ran off redlight and t-boned my Lexus RX rolled over multiple times. The RX is smashed completely. He got away with it! I wish I had a dashcam. I'm driving ES now but shopping for GX and after that horrible accident, I learned the only witness you'll need is a very reliable effective dashcam. That's why I am searching for the best dashcam I can get, but several things are confusing: I need a 4K dashcam that can resist the extreme summmer heat in Texas. I need dashcam that uses best reliable safe portable battery. Dashcam that comes with a filter to avoid dashboard sunlight reflections. Dashcam that has advanced buffering parking mode and active motion detection (this is very important because in any parking lot I see ppl don't care when they scratch and slightly damage your car, they just leave and walk away. they have no idea how much it affects a luxury car to have a tiny scrath!) If 70Mai A800 resists heat, has a filter and motion detection then i think it would be way to go so far, but not sure yet....
@@seekfactsnotfiction9056 hey there, I'm amateur as you, but I've been thru some crazy driver situation which was hair from tragedy, so I did bit of a research. A800 have only very basic parking mode and internal battery so high heat would be a problem. Then there's a blackvue, but they have often problems with high heat. So for I would say either viofo a129 ( only negative I've heard was car battery being discharged in winter ) or thinkware u1000 with external battery + you can also get radar module which reduce battery consumption by a tons . As 3 way dashcam there's vantrue n4 , high heat resistance check , but there's movement detection + bumping detection without buffered parking mode ( buffered means it does record before camera even triggers recording itself as it does add this clip, in reality if something move camera will record few seconds prior to the movement being caught ), thinkware u1000 should have some cloud features too, for remote recording or access , if that's something you would use
In my opinion it is not necessary but it would be an interesting option. If you park it on the streets it is going to detect a lot of motion and it will consume all your memory. With my 70mai pro I consider that the collision detector is sensible enough for any situation. I also think it is important to have the hardware kit for the power supply for not having to rely on the camera battery that is not too much for the parking surveillance. Other than that I would like to comment that the emergency recording needs to add by software the possibility of recording a few seconds before the actual emergency recording starts.
Hi tech4all, what mid level dash cam do you reccomend at this level? I agree with you on this 70mai in that its not suitable for parking mode. IMO an excellent parking mode is essential.
@@prabhuiyer i think they all the dash cams may need to be hard wired in order for parking mode, which sucks a bit. I haven't found one that doesn't as yet.
@@gdog4323 You have 70Mai pro and Akaso Trace 1/ Pro don't require hardwiring. The lithium ion batteries does 24 hr parking surveillance on it's own, even when the car is off, for good 2-3 days. Only capacitor based dashcams need hardwiring.
Bought it and installed today. Unfortunately not able to download the video footages into my iPhone via the app. The app shows down to app_album, couldn't find this folder in my phone.
Other dashcams can record all the time and will record on top of old footage, does this one do that? on both sides? or is that the missing time lapse you talk about?
All modern dashcams do that. The timelapse function was meant to be used during parking mode. Unfortunately - it's been disabled in the recent firmwares.
is the cam all time recording? or you just can see the emergency videos that was recorded (it only records emergency videos when the sensor recognizes sth)
I want to put the dash cam on the far right side of the windshield because my wipers do not reach high enough (in the middle of the windshield) to wipe the window in front of the dash cam and I do not want to have dash cam in the middle of the windshield. But I do not know if the viewing angle is good there. Is it possible for you to take some photos with the dash cam from far right side of the windshield and posti them? They would be very helpful.
if the microSD card was the problem, there were about to be drops of frames or unreadable files. If videos are blurry - check if you have removed the lens folio protection. If it's still bad - might be something wrong with the lens itself.
