I believe it was 0.5mm kanthal wire but I ordered bunch of them and they came not labeled - all of that because my cheap caliper was giving me odd results - sorry.
I've always been looking for this vdo.....exactly what I'm looking for! Whether this is gonna work in my case or not....thank you very much ^ ^. Will try this soon :)
This is interesting question... I have no idea how device operate - it must emit IR so adding resistor should limit range. You can also try add something dark that will block part of IR like shade. But it's just idea - i would start from it.
My townew t1 can not open the lid but can seal(stick the bags),please can you give me some advise how I can fix it and what is the reason for this, as I changed the battery with new one. Thank you in advance
Mine has a defective battery I guess. Depletes in a day but works otherwise. I keep it on charge all the time but is that dangerous in the long term? Could I remove the battery and use it as a wired device? Would it function? I could also replace the battery but it is not an issue to keep it connected for me.
@@ekinkoc8683 Hey, 99,9% i'm positive You can leave it plugged without any problems. Just check do You have li-ion version or SLA like on this video. You can even try unplug battery (should be safer) because if it have short - constantly trying recharge it might cause fire hazard (if one cell is shorted). You are welcome!
Hi, I have this Townew T1 dustbin but it has other issue compared to those which you have shared, the whole top cover will auto open after it has done the sealing but now, it cannot open after sealing so I do not know how to repair, can you advise and guide me?
mine doesnt sense motion n open the lid. i have to open it manually. it does allow me to seal and replace the bag automatically. else i have to throw away the refills already. any way to fix the motion sensor part?
I also have unit's with this issue - but right now I don't have time to diagnose them (lot of other work) - quick idea start from making sure it's actually motion sensor (seems to be odd fault since it must be simple circuit) - when it's in automatic mode, moving hand will trigger LED lights. Force and open lid, move hand - see if led are glowing. If Yes - than motion sensor is OK and fault is in motor, driver of motor or gearbox.
I have the same issue as well. The LED light is lightup but the lid just dont open. Even if i press the button, the lid still dont move. Other than that the sealer is working fine.
I need help with the sensor not recognizing a hand pass over. It is a recent problem. I can open the lid with a press of the button. My bin will still seal the bag but does not realize I have removed the full bag of trash. It will continue to beep for removal. I turn the bin off and on as if for the first time. It will then suck the bag in.
My T1S doesn't seal the bags anymore, after 4 months only. There are 2 arms coming together to seal with heat, they usually come 2 times and hold while it's sealing. Now it comes only once and doesn't seal, just beep. And the lips remains open all the time. As soon as it closes, it reopens again. What can it be ?
If I would be You - I would just check tension on belts and try stick finger, start sealing process and see what force it can deliver on those arms - if barley nothing and belt is slipping than You have answer where look at problem. It's quite simple process they need touch limit switches - I don't remember how it was design but on some there is small metal tab - maybe it need bending because it hit to soon or to early.
@@ElectronicNoobBlog I think there is something else, because as soon as I turn the bin ON, the lid opens and remains like that. If I close it manually, the sensor doesn't work to open it.
I have been using this one since 2021 but recently I think it has battery problem. The sensor works fine, the lid can open/close normally but when I press the button to change the bag, it has a normal beep sound, then a weak motor noise, and nothing else happens.
@@amyh6991 sadly no, I can't get the battery shipped to my country nor replace the battery myself 🥲 so I just using it manually as a normal trash bin with sensor lid now lol
