Thanks for video, it was a huge help when it came to changing the sensors on my roborock. Saved me a lot of time. It made me proud to repair my robot instead of throwing it away and polluting more. I also saved a lot of money by not having to buy a new one. Thanks!
Thanks a lot. I was able to disassemble the xiaomi vacuum mop c1 model with these instructions to get to the cliff sensors. The disassembly process there included many more screws and more parts disassembly, but this video has everything I needed for success. Again, Thanks a lot!
So I used you tutorial to get to my sensors but instead of replacing I simply remove the plastic covers from the sensors and thoroughly cleaned them. For some stupid reason they are not hermetic and fine dust finds its way inside. After reassembly the robot works like new and even cleans for a longer time most likely due to a total cleaning that helped it realize better when its not full yet. The plastic covers are easy to remove using my finger to unlatch
@@YungYaw well I not only cleaned the plastic but also air pressured the sensor itself. Appearantly there was quite alot of dust inside... Very fine annoying dust.
After I bought the sensors, I noticed it there is no need to buy them, you can clean the ones that you have without having to manipulate motherboards and cables. Just when you are able to unclip your sensors from the robot, remove the piece of plastic transparent , clean up with water, dry it and mount it again. You will save 30 euros , 30 minutes of work, and 2 weeks without your robot.
Hi Pape Pin, thank you for watching my video. I created the video just to share my experience of fixing my xiaomi vacuum robot. In fact I tried cleaning the sensors too as suggested by the vacuum robot voice prompt but that doesn't solve my problem. So I have to replace the cliff sensors. After replacing the sensors, it solved my problem. Just for your info, I am not selling those sensors.
@@ValeevVadim Hi, did you get the cliff sensor "Error 4" message from the vacuum robot? My experience was only related to that specific error. If you get different error code, maybe it could be due to other part error. By the way, are you still able to buy the exact same set of cliff sensors for this model of vacuum robot? I tried to search and it seems there's not many people selling this sensor anymore. Just want to make sure you replaced the correct cliff sensor and those are working condition sensors.
My unit are roborock s6, just a yr 5 months and encountered this error 4 cliff sensors issue. I dismount the front protector and clean all sensors with glass cleaner. No help. Now do I need to unscrew everything to access inside the sensors. Lots of screw and hope can mount it back. And do we need to chg all sensors ?
@@YungYaw nice video and thanks for sharing. Paid so much for this robot n KO after 1.5 yrs. does the sensors with life span ? And do we need to chg all?
Hello! The item does not exists on Aliexpress anymore, do you happen to know what the sensors are called? or if they have a model # i can lookup? Thank you!
Thank you for the vidéo, I had the same issue on my roborock s50, error 4, I noticed that the the transparent plastiques of the fall sensors were slightly scratched, I polished them with some automotive polishing compound and the roborock is back to life for 4 days now :) Hope this can help
Thanks! I managed to take the sensors out and it was good enough to take their plastic covers out and clean them from the inside and it runs again! 😃 wouldn’t 100% be successful without this video 👍 P.S.: I am a woman, so don’t be worry you wouldn’t make it 🤣
Are you trying to run the robot on black surface's? It will confuse it if you are! I modified mine to work on black surfaces and that's probably what you need to do also! It'll work perfectly then but you wont be able to use where it can fall after the modification!
I've got an Roborock E4 with this very same error 4. One of the cables going to the top left sensor was deattached during a previous cleanup and cannot be reattach. Do you know if this replacement would work on this model? I've asked everywhere but haven't had luck so far.
It's interesting that the cable got detached from the connector. Will you be able to reconnect the cable or resolder it? At least you can check if it's the cable problem.
Are you referring to the orange battery pack or the battery connector? There's no screw for the battery pack casing. But not sure if they have upgraded their process to add adhesive tape or not. If you are referring to the battery connector, there's a latch that you need to press and then pull out the connector.
@@thomasbungener4834 Hrm, I am not sure. But if you google Error 4 for Xiaomi vacuum robot, it's related to cliff sensor. Hope you will be able to fix yours eventually.
@@hummel003 Is your vacuum robot exactly same model as mine? I put a link in the video description. You can check it out. Else you can try to search for "Xiaomi Vacuum Robot V1 Cliff Sensor" on AliExpress.
YungYaw yes the same model. But the link goes to a product that is not available anymore. I tried searching specific but i cant seem to find the 1st gen sensors
@@hummel003 Hrm... you are right. I can't find it on AliExpress anymore too. However, I found a listing on Lazada: www.lazada.com.my/products/cliff-front-impact-sensor-component-for-xiaomi-1st-generation-robot-vacuum-cleaner-left-right-leftright-sensor-i1236274152-s3673372543.html?spm=a2o4k.searchlist.list.40.1585eaa907XL1d&search=1 . But I'm not sure if you are able to make purchase if you are not in this region. Do check the seller profile to see if it's a reliable seller and if the part is compatible with your vacuum robot.
