This is where Xiaotang really shines and if i think of a Chinese idol she would be it someone who can do modern dance but also captivate doing a folk dance please for the love of god let her be in the group so I get to see her shine more.

The way Esther and Xiaotang supported each other performance it's like couple goals. All girls wearing girly and sexy dress yet our Xiaotang just wear a simple shirt. I'm gonna miss them when the show is ended. Before every time my friends feeling down, my words for them to cheer up was fighting! (Mostly for Kpop fans) and now Jaiyoo because of the whole trainees of YWY2.

The only other time I saw her this confident and assured on stage was Ambush on All Sides. No wonder her other performances suffered : Xiaotang was suffering from a crisis in confidence and was probably mildly depressed all this time. Hope she gets her mojo back so that the world can see her back at her best.

What I love in this show is that we see how the trainees glow up, they are already a league of their own but they still improved a lot. Like how xiotang was poker faced on the first episode but now she's smiling a lot. They feel pressure but they also value friendship. Which is the essence of survival, one does not live alone.

Tips for viewers for better understanding of their conversations: 1. Xiaotang mentioned these are bowls for eating ------because this performance usually have a standard type of bowl, so that people can use same bowl to practice and perform. Xiaotang didn’t use her familiar kinds of bowl. 2. Host said : you can’t drop it, because it is your eating bowl -----“eating bowl” has another meaning in Chinese means the skill that you have to make living. It has two meanings in this scene.

Xiaotang is an unique person. Her personality, visual, dance, and vocals have a special character. I would say that she has her own style, there are no trainees who are similar to her. I mean, for example, if you look at yu yan and anqi, they are talented and have everything they need to be an idol, but they are too similar. Many people assume that talent = powerful, and xiaotang doesn't have enough power so she doesn't deserve to be top 9. But hey- she does a lot of improvisation and adds her own styles to her dance. I think that is also a great talent. Just my opinion though, feel free if u arent agree with me.

I can say as a Mongolian myself that this is not a traditional Chinese dance but traditional Mongolian dance. However, I do think that her way of moving did have a hint of Chinese dance style, probably because she studied it in China and not in Mongolia.

I have to say that Mongolian culture is also a part of traditional Chinese culture. Culture is not just black and white, it's a gray colour thing. We communicate and influence each other. And also in China there is a province called inner Mongolia which still keeps a lot of Mongolian people's traditions. Like they still use traditional Mongolian Alphabet. But in Mongolia you are using Russian alphabet. I mean although you independent from China, Chinese people still see you as family members. Every child has been told in their textbook that they should be nice to Mongolian people cause we are brothers. And that's why you can see this dance in our hottest show and everybody likes it.

@@enn5102 it is mogolian dance. Even in China we call it mogolian ethnic dance not traditional Chinese dance. There is no such thing as " traditional chinese dance", only Han ethinic dance/ folk dance and classical Chinese dance. Tired of a lot of chinese just mistaking the ideas.

Appreciate it for appreciating her. She graduated from Beijing dance academy in ethnic folk dance. China also have Mongolian minorities in Inner Mongolia, so we also consider this as part of Chinese traditional dance as Chinese is a nationality and we don’t want anyone that’s of minor ethnic (which we have over 55, w Han being the majority) to feel dis-included.
