Is this supposed to be a friendly match ? To promote Xiaoting ? Coz she isn't really that good, and it's an insult for Ronnie to play her. I guess he was paid a whole lot to play her ? It's so obvious he threw the pool game away. And for the snooker games, he missed so many easy shots. That's not the real Ronnie O'Sullivan we've grown to know. So many shots in real games, he wouldn't have attempted, he'd have played a safety, but he's risking it to give her a chance to beat him, but she keeps missing it and it ain't even funny. He's just giving her face by not thrashing her.
I do agree in the fact that Ronnie threw it away but it isn't an insult for Ronnie to play her in a game. And btw, she is probably better than you so you can't really say anything.

Ronnie must've been so bored. He started averagely in the first 4 matches and still won all of them. Then he started playing anything. Like he didn't care.
TimelineUpdates It's not easy even for a professional to win straight set, the woman was not bad either. Don't assume he's invincible just because he won a lot of competition. To me, it was her ass that distracted Ronnie.
She is a lovely, and no doubt very talented player. She was, however, pitted against arguably the greatest, "Cue Sport" player of all time. As the world's possibly greatest Snooker player...used to making shots at pockets half the size that regulation pool players shoot at; while not having to also deal with the "long green" shots that a 12' x 6' Snooker table presents...this was no contest. She was outgunned, outmatched and schooled by the world's best. It's a shame, albeit chivalrous, that Ronnie held back and intentionally missed shots he never misses in order to make it appear like she could compete with him. She did, however, win hands down...the beauty contest. She is just GORGEOUS. i applaud her courage in going head to head with Mr. O'Sullivan. That would be like some H.S. Basket Ball prodigy going one on one with Michael Jordan in his prime. It would be folly...as was this so called..."competition." She was NO match for him on any day, any game or on any table.
I'm sure he got paid alot ... But it wasn't staged ... I'm sure he let a few slip by as courtesy and to make it more interesting for the viewers as an exibition ..

If the reason for the Chinese to have a decent-looking girl play against a world class player is to promote this sport, then i respect that. But showing off her best tricks then ask the guest to try replicate the result (probably even expecting him to fail) is a deliberate humiliation and an insult to this sport.

I feel sorry for her, she totaly lost her composure after the first few rounds. She needs to learn to deal with setbacks. She is pretty damn good and it would be a shame if emotions got in the way.

I played Ronnie at 8 ball back when he had first turned pro, just before he won the uk at 17, the guy is just naturally talented with a cue at any ball game. what a guy lol. Who can take a year off and come back and WIN the world championship, not just play but WIN?!? no one in the history of snooker could have ever done that, hes the greatest of all times
Anyone else think that O'Sullivan seemed disinterested in this game and just gave it away? Some of the choices he made and the strokes he played,....well,....he might as well have told the girl,.."it's all yours". All said and done, not a very impressive performance from him.
for any snooker player, it's damn easy to play in pool table. but playing more in pool can weak your snooker aiming skill. at least in my own experience.

She was already passed her peak when this game was played. She definitely was the world champion at Women 9'ball region, and she won several times world title. Of course she could not out play Ronnie who is the best of all pool leagues, but she is elite in the Women's league. I saw a lot of people were too jealous, of her beauty, or of her elite pool?

Adam Osman A camera aimed at the end of the table (along its length) appears to foreshorten the table too much, making it look square instead of rectangular. The camera's zoom or aspect ratio may be set improperly for the angle of the view.
The snooker game at the end is beyond atrocious. I can only assume the game is either fixed, Ronnie is jet lagged or ill...or he's love sick at his opponent.
