Xijiang 1,000-household Miao village | Traditions, food, dances 

Hello everyone! My name is Elena, I am from Ukraine 💛💙 and this time I traveled to Xijiang 1,000-household Miao village.
Traveling around the province of Guizhou, I could not help but visit this village! Despite the fact that I was there only 4 hours, it was enough to touch at least a little bit the Miao national minority, their culture and traditions.
The 1,000-household Miao village of Xijiang is located in northeast Leishan County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, southwest China, at the base of Leigong Mountain. The Miao ethnic minority built more than a thousand wooden-stilted houses on hillsides with distinctive Miao features due to a lack of available farmed ground. Houses built on top of one another in close contact provide breathtaking views.
First, we will walk around the village itself, examine the architecture and wooden carvings. After that, we will accidentally stumble upon a performance in the center of the village, where you can see with your own eyes national costumes, dances, hear musical instruments and their songs. I will also talk a little about the Miao people themselves, in particular about their women.
And finally, we will climb to the observation deck and take a breathtaking view of the entire village. (Before that, I will get a little lost in the labyrinths of the city, but this is my favorite thing to do)
