now theres a good one! the fit might be hard to get just right but if they kept mud/dirt out of my doors id be happy. been thinking of modding some new stock ones
@@Tanner731 pool noodles are designed to float, so they repel water pretty good. It's hard for them to soak water in unless submerged for a long time. You can also get hydrophobic spray in a rattle can now days, which keeps water out even better, if you want. I found some black ones so no need to paint them. I only used them in the rear section of both front fender wells, blocking air, mud, and water from my doors. Made a big difference on the highway wind noise also.
Wow! I was just thinking about this as I was eating my breakfast on my daily commute in the XJ. If I mount a toaster on the passenger side, I might be on time for work for once.
if you guys are doing these awesome interior mods and looking for more ideas ive always thought that cubby in the back passenger should be replaced with a door making the rear passenger quarter a storage box basically, theres so much wasted space in the quarters of the xj. I was going to build my own but I dont have access to the burn table/tools to make it happen yet. I was thinking id try to replace all three of the cubbies on my 2 door with doors for storage but we'll see how far i get :P
@@brianpardee1281 Oooh-- is that what its actually for? In Canada we have to get permits to even transport handguns from one place to another-- I didn't even think of that..
