Hi, I am getting only around 10 km/kg . After tank full, CNG LEVEL in MID dropped 3 points in 40 kms. Mine was delivered on 18 Sep 23 and total kms done 155 Mostly drive under 60-65 that too in normal city traffic
Abhi... simply calculate on empty tank to empty tank.... reset odometer when you fill CNG tank on a empty tank and and when it gets empty again... calculate KMs run divided by KG of Gas filled.... simple calculation
An approximate idea you can get by this for any particular trip. But to get a more precise results on the average on a day to day city drive I had taken a bigger data base. Further there remains one major difference in CNG filling and in Petrol/diesel, and that is in Petrol and diesel refilling one will get the actual volume (in litres) of fuel which will help in getting exact mileage. But in CNG refilling, the weight of the gas refilled varies with pressure in the pumps. Even the same pump can fill different kg of gas while refilling (in empty cylinder) if there is a pressure difference at time of refilling or even the temperature difference. This will lead to errors in getting the exact mileage.
The temperature factor also plays an important role in deciding the quantity of gas that goes in the cylinder even for the same PSI pressure. So, gas is a bit more complex than normal than petrol/diesel. So I think the bigger sample you take, the closer you would be in calculating the mileage factor. And thanks for watching the video 😊👍
Obviously, ye ek cng car ka issue rahta hai. But it depends. Many a time, it takes little time and at times a bit longer. But it's manageable, and slowly, you get to know from which pump station and at which time it would be more suitable to get it filled.
Iam very happy seeing your videos and reviews. As you know the non cng xl6 has mild hybrid(shvs) support whereas the cng variant doesnt have shvs, and my place doesnt have cng pumps nearby, but cng will be useful on long trips for me. Iam planning to buy a new xl6 and wanted to check the difference of mileage in petrol only mode between shvs and non shvs variants. I will be eagerly waiting for your video on that and keep up the great work
Further, a lot depends on how one drives. I had earlier Ciaz SHVS (diesel one). On a highway drive, my friend got on it 18 km/litre, whereas I derived from it a whooping 26 km per litre mileage.
@@abhilawvlogs iam a sedate driver and would like to cruise at around 90kmph. My daily office to home commute is only around 30 kms. Its only during long trips I will need a decent fuel efficiency as I tend to go on long trips in excess of 2000kms

Sir, can you please tell me that in Delhi's Summer, how the cooling capacity of this car on CNG mode. Is AC cooling also effective for third row passengers on CNG mode?
Arun till date I haven't faced any cooling issue. Generally, I personally drive so frankly haven't checked recently how is cooling on last seat. But since there is a powerful roof mounted blower so I don't think it would be a problem.
@Arun Kumar I purchased the car in January, and till date, it's not that hot in Delhi. In fact in between has to even switch off AC as it gets cold. And xl6 has got a good engine with 1.5 litres, so you won't feel any power lag in cng mode either as it used to be in earlier cng wagonr etc. Rest you should take a good test drive you will get the answer.

Get the tank filled and refill it only once it's empty. You will get the actual mileage. Actually initial few points in the meter drops too early but much gas remains in the tank and it lasts long thereafter till it finishes off. Do it and then update here. I would like to hear from you the results you got.
@abhilawvlogs Whether new CNG models lack a petrol mileage check option on the speedometer? Not able to get the mileage or km range of petrol on xl6 cng model?
@@abhilawvlogs Thanks for the quick reply. That’s really bad. I don’t know why they did this on all CNG models from the last 2 years. Do you know how to turn off the seat belt sound even when no one is sitting anywhere except for the driver's seat? Even for testing purposes, I connected all the seat belts but the beep sound didn’t go away for at least 5 minutes.
@yogeshbhandari4678 Beap sound should normally not come up when no one is sitting in other seats. But I have noticed at times that if I had kept some heavy stuff on the co driver seat, then often bip sound asking for wearing seat belt pops up. But it goes away if I adjust the stuff a bit. I think it's because of some load sensor on the seats 💺 that is being used to identify if someone sits on it.
@yogeshbhandari4678 Yes. But dont worry. Both CNG and Petrol mileage of the car is surprisingly good. You can check my other videos like one of Delhi Mumbai Expressway drive video (where both petrol and CNG mileage in highway was calculated). Other of Neelkanth Mahadev temple drive. Where I had also calculated the petrol mileage in city drive. You will get ample idea of the car.
Both cars have the same engine and I think mileage should be also some what similar. I haven't tested Grand Vitara mileage but I feel XL6 can have a bit more mileage since it's more slick and aerodynamic. When I was to select between both the cars I found XL6 to be more value for money car with lot more features. I would suggest you to go for extensive test drive of both the cars. Get a feel of them closely you will get the answer. In case you select any of them do update here also. All the best 👍

Yes. It's very useful feature and I have used it extensively in this drive also. You may check my other videos where I have covered the features of the car in detail.
The most shocking thing in XL6 2023 is that the speedometer doesn't show the details of mileage. The owner will have to calculate manually like it's shown in this video, for which one has to keep track of CNG refill, price, KM reading etc everytime. This is a bad way to track mileage from Maruti. Even a basic car these days shows the mileage in a speedometer. Hope Maruti gets some updates to the system and mileage starts showing on a speedometer.
@@abhilawvlogs Ok checking. But Maruti should have shown readily on speedometer. Very unhappy. Its showing total CNG drive time, arey us information ka karu kya? Faltu ka info show karta hai and jo important hai vahi nahi dikhata Maruti.
