For her next challenge in this year's festive competition, Jane draws the Life is Strange ELF Challenge, in which the challenger must, in Life is Strange True Colors, play the Mine Haunt arcade machine in your apartment and get a high score, then leave the name ‘ELF’ on the scoreboard. Get that name on the board within three attempts, or go without a precious point. Let's see how that goes, and then come back tomorrow for another daily challenge, why not?

Yeah, I was waiting for it, I literally couldn't sleep after I finished the game (it's so good, you guys), and had nobody to talk about it. I just replayed it and that helped, but a discussion video would still be more than welcome!

I'm so bloody happy that you used Mine Haunt for a Christmas challenge this year!! It took me about two weeks of playing to eventually beat Gabe's score (138,000 is my high score now). Considering Jane hadn't really touched the arcade before this, and didn't even know the batteries granted lil miner ghost killing capabilities, I think you did damn well!!

I legit shouted out loud when Jane just walked into the ghost at the end there. If she'd finished that level, she'd probably have won! Sabotage, obviously; distracting Jane with the ghost riding the mine cart joke...

That's almost literally the case in True Colors. The bar owner is a pillar of the local community, and he rents the apartment to Alex for virtually no cost.

@@Amaritudine Plus, I haven't played this game but presumably, this is not a big city. I think people who are used to city prices can be shocked when a place can go for, like, a tenth the price when you're in a low population area.

@@reasonnottheneed Completely right. The game's set in a small, remote Colorado town where the economy depends on a local mine and national parks. I don't think we're ever told the exact population, but the place is based on a real-life town in the same state which has under 2000 inhabitants.
