That stuff is covering for newly landscaped areas where grass was planted. Ive done the same thing wrapping it all up, like that! Really bad when the mowers go over it lol!!💯🔥💥🚀
Nice video and I like that gearing I think I wanna try it and them tires are so awesome just a little expensive but I will get them some time later 👌🏽💯💨💨🔋🔋
20T/44T? Sounds like fun. Once (just once) I went with 23T/36T combo. Before brushless overheated and phased out spur gear was as bold as a ping pong ball. Spring steel pinion was sugar-coated with Stanyl Delrin mix. You could smell it baking in between the steel teeth. Ever since I never got any higher than 16T/54T. (not in a Traxxas, some other noname brand). But sometimes you just want some diffs grounded into sand. And you gotta do it no matter what. Cos that fly from stand-still acceleration is enticing addictive. 52mph for MT on grass is almost perfect. A huge compliment to tires.
@@earlmoorhead5555 not in a Traxxas, some other noname brand. =) i wonder if you can custom 3dprint Delrin 36T spur for Xmaxx or get it from someone who is in 3dprinting.
@@earlmoorhead5555 it was always baffling to me cos the most obvious way to make money is to make custom pinion/spur combo with a meshed calculated motor mount. still, great Xmaxx and even better tires.
@@earlmoorhead5555 I did that because I think you are one of the best technical RC RU-vidrs out there. I don’t know how you don’t get 3 billion views and it sucks that you don’t. You always dig into a problem, and beat that horse until it’s dead. I have learned a lot from you. I hope someday we get to meet up and bash. Keep on keeping on Earl.
Hey Earl I been watching your videos and love them. I bought the xmaxx ultimate and love it. I tried talking to traxxas and was very disappointed I seen in the manual it comes with a speed gear and they said it was a miss print. You don’t get the speed gear when you call. You get treated like crap. I always loved traxxas but idk now.
I'm currently at 14:35 in your video. The netting is the stuff they put on the ground to hold down straw when they plant grass seed. And I'm surprised you didn't have an overheating issue going up and down the hill.
@earlmoorhead5555 you will probably have to pull each tire off to get rid of all that nylon netting it wraps right around the axles nice and tight. It will even stop a lawn mower. Been there done that, that stuff is a bitch.
Definitely a good test for heat is climbing that hill like that…good xmaxx trailing gear? 😂🤣. BTW is that a special lens on your GoPro? It looks different in the shadow
Sounds like it cogs a bit on that gearing starting from full stop. Nothing really wrong with that, but it always drives me nuts if any of my trucks cog even a little. lol. My maxx was doing that on 20/50 with 3.8in slash belted tires on it. I tried to just ignore it, but it bothered me enough to switch to a sensored max8 g2 combo.
Yeah well I've been all over the website I have not been able to buy not one. I even called them they told me it doesn't exist? And I know I'm searching for the right part number it's 6438 but it just doesn't exist ? The b**** about it is I know it exists but for some reason I can't get it, and I've been a Traxxas customer for many many years.
@@earlmoorhead5555 LOL I'm not a greenhorn I know they're at Traxxas they are not on the website and then when you call them they will tell you the part doesn't exist! I've been a Traxxas customer for over two decades, and I've been in RC's for a little over 45 years. The only thing I can think of is the truck hasn't been released yet as well as the accessories list. EBay LMAOROTF, lol.
It’s normally the steering links ball end and control arm pins squeaking and not the bearing not saying all the time it’s not the bearing being dry but most of the time it’s the maintenance not being done
