Actually, you don't have to do what I did in this video. Just push this little rod in (the center piece and all the adjustment parts should be on it), twist it 90 degrees, and pull out - it will fix in place.

Thanks. No, I don't feel any difference in feel or performance. They both perform great. I also don't recommend taking all this apart unless you have to for some reason. I don't remember, you don't have any Tornado v3? If not, get one, it's amazing!

I don’t have any Tornados whatsoever haha (Moyu fanboy alert) and I’m going back and forward between the WRM lite and the WRM 2020 as my main (didn’t like the purplev so much). In any case I‘m curious to try out magnetic-cores once and for all and this seems like a good first step into that world. I agree that there’s no real benefit to taking this apart since it doesn’t seem to need core lubing. Still it’s very confidence-inspiring to see how it’s put together. I hate having a black box where you don’t know how things work, if it’s super fragile or not, etc.

@@cubejunkie1906 Gan cubes have the most prominent core magnets, but for a WRM lover, I certainly recommend the Tornado Pioneer. The core magnets are not as intrusive as in Gan cubes, and the cube is really fluid.

Why not fix this one? You don't even have to take the entire core apart if it's one or two opposing rods.

@@her_manisz why did you buy Standard in the first place? You can buy a maglev core from The Cubicle, but you won't have magnets on corners. If you wanted ball core and maglev, you should have bought the Pioneer.

It's a GMMK full size - totally worth it in my opinion. But the keycaps are more expensive than the keyboard itself, it's GMK Fox - probably too much for most people.

Nah, Tornado is much better and easier to adjust and set up.

The gan m pro is a good cube, but the tornado v3 is so much more stable, smooth and quite compared to the gan. Plus it’s so much cheaper

Так он есть, просто не такой выраженный, как на ганах. Если не замедлять куб чересчур смазкой, то он прекрасно доворачивает, но при этом магниты не ощущаются слишком сильными. По сути, для более заметного автодоворота нужны более сильные магниты + минимальное трение граней. Это просто некомфортно в сборках. Неприятно собирать, когда куб дергается в руках из-за очень сильных магнитов. Поэтому я не очень люблю ганы. На них хочется крутить побыстрее, чтобы не чувствовать этих дерганий, и весь лукахед летит к чертям.

Take all the pieces out. Try to insert the rod in the core, pushing it and turning it 90° there. Then pull to fix it in place. If it doesn't work, carefully take out the screws and assemble everything together like I did in the video. Please reply on how it goes, because it may be useful to other cubers!

В первой были винты. Во второй пластиковые крепления, как я показываю в этом видео. Потом еще магниты на ножках поменяли - раньше они были вставлены в отдельные прозрачные детальки, а потом сделали ножку цельную с держателем для магнитов. Я думаю, сейчас уже старой ревизии нигде нет, только новые.

@@Krasi4 Я заказывала несколько торнадиков, себе и знакомым, все на алиэкспрессе, и первая ревизия мне досталась только при первом заказе, вскоре после релиза. Дальше были свежие. С UV-покрытием мой торнадик - самой последней модификации, с цельными ножками.

@@OlgaFyodorova еще раз спасибо за ответ) Та я сам натупил, там же на картинках все было видно. Реально в некоторых товарах куб с винтом, а в других с пластиковой заглушкой. Посмотрим, что приедет. Но вряд ли он будет отличаться от того, что указано на картинах..( С меня лайки каналу за Ваши подсказки)

The Cubicle used to sold them, I don't know about any other stores that sell replacement cores for the Tornado v3.

It's ok, but the Tornado is overall more fragile than most cubes. I've had a few and they all have been fine, but it's the most returned cube according to SCS.

Also, are the core magnets slightly stronger, is the transparent ball bigger than the previous version's core? It bothers me a little feeling the contact between corners and core tbh. I put some lube directly on the magnet/plastic pieces of the corners and it made it a bit better.

No, the spring adjustment system works like in every other cube - it compresses the spring. The parts are a bit different and are transparent.

@@Nehimsupacac Huh, I didn't notice any difference in magnet strength, and the corners didn't touch the core in my friend's cube. Unfortunately, I didn't compare the core sizes, and now it's too late because I sent the cube to my friend.

It's kinda unobtrusive, not as noticeable as on WRM v9 or Gan maglev cubes. I like it. But I prefer the Pioneer.

The complaints about the core breaking have declined since the core update, from what I know.

I think yours not broken, just one axel fell off. You can put that back.

В старой версии винты не надо трогать, там же такая же цифровая настройка. Но старые крестовины у многих ломались. Если будешь заказывать в России, то смотри отзывы или задай вопрос продавцу - у многих еще старая версия. С Алиэкспресса скорее всего новая версия будет. Я заказывала из Aircube Store - новая крестовина.

Just a little Philips screwdriver I had at home. Can't advise on brands, sorry. Why do you have to take the core apart at all? It's really tedious to put everything back together. I think it's normal. I never tried pushing the rods in (just to avoid the hassle of fixing that), but from the Cubicle help video, that's how you fix a rod that fell out. Insert it, turn it, pull at it to fix.

@@OlgaFyodorova I essentially wanted to take apart and reattach all of the pieces of the core as you did in the video to see if the rods would truly lock into place after doing it that way. I've seen that Cubicle video as well, and using that method my rods don't come out of the core, so they're "locked in" in that sense. However, they still fall into the core, sometimes when I use force, sometimes naturally. I normally wouldn't be concerned about that, but I found that my cube always catches and locks up during solves specifically on the faces with the messed up screws.

For Tornado v3, there is Standard (no core magnets), Flagship (core magnets and springs) and Pioneer (core magnets and maglev). Get Flagship or Pioneer. Standard is worse.

@@oblivionofyou5956 No, there's no difference. The new core is sturdier, but if you have an older revision of the cube with the older core, just keep using it, it's the same thing.

Привет! Если крутишь легко и любишь быстрые кубы, чтобы поменьше усилий прикладывать, то Pioneer. У меня он основной. Если крутишь более агрессивно и хочешь постабильнее - то Flagship. Мне лично в Flagship не хватает большей гибкости, что ли, я люблю кубы легкого кручения. Gan вообще не рекомендую. У меня он валяется без дела.

Most stores sell Tornadoes with the updated core, but you can't be sure 100%. Email your favorite store, I guess.

wrm v9 standard with magnetic core kit and wrm 2021 maglev, which will you prefer more?

@@desmondchngkhaijiemoe3604 The WRM v9 standard doesn't have a magnetic core. If we compare the factory WRM v9 Standard and WRM 2021 Maglev, I'd choose WRM 2021 Maglev hands down. I'm not a fan of v9 Standard.

I will get it soon and will most likely make a video about its auto alignment (or lack thereof). Stay tuned ;)
