Hi, It was my spontaneous review and testing of some tones with this video. It's on sale due to my big moving. let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for watching!
Hi Peter, nice review you made, appreciate it. Have you found the best strings to be used for Xotic XJ1T? My preferred one so far was La bella RX Stainless
Thank you so much! I just like Elixir string set, because it lasts longer than any other haha. when you have some basses, you wanna keep them longer. I like La bella strings too, I've tried it a long time ago! Have you tried Elixir?
@@Peterkleemusic I havent actually for bass, they were my favourite for acoustic...but for bass I was afraid that they would be giving a boring ass tone, but since you recommend it I'll give it a try..so far I have tried: - D'addario Nyxl : died in 3 months - Sadowsky Blue Steel Nickel: did not like it on the spot - La Bella RX Stainless: too bright in the beginning, but getting better as it sets - DR Fat Beams: getting dull just in 2 months somehow...maybe a defective unit - DR Hi Beams: trying it on a different bass rite now
Hey brother, sounds real nice. I have been thinking of buying this as a main 5string jazz. But how does it compare to fender or Mikelull or Sadowsky metroline ?
Thank you! I appreciate it. I like all of the basses you mentioned and have owned. Xotic provides the greatest quality of the hifi-jazz bass tone. More growl and punch than others, and no Hum noise. It’s Japanese bass and heavier. I prefer Xotic than Sadowsky metro. Fender is good for value and familiarity. Mikelull is unique, more custom based. Xotic preamp is the most versatile here in my opinion 📣🙏👍
@@Peterkleemusic hey brother I recently played an elric evolution 5 and a phoniex bomber bass. I really like the finger style with the elric but find it a bit to slap on the elric but the sound is better
