I really liked this video despite the lower production quality. Video equivalent of going to a friends house and bro-ing out while you fix their PC on their bedroom floor
IMO the best videos on the channel are the lower production ones. They are more fun, less technical, and obviously more genuine. That's why the Intel upgrade series was so popular: the unscripted moments, hectic pace and some scenes like when Linus broke the bed :D I really liked the videos with Kallmekris as well. I also like all the videos presenting LTT behind-the-scenes, product design, the lab, etc. With a big preference for the videos with Sarah :)
Yeah this is what I loved about his old original uploads. It was quite literally just 5 tech enthusiasts working in a tiny space having fun, teaching through RU-vid, and messing with each other.
Id say this is actually higher production value. While this uses lower quality clips from xQc's stream, the way how its all syncronized in the end is just amazing and gives of a vibe of really high production quality.
Watching what was a 3-4 hour stream turn into a tight 26 minute video is awesome. Also the real MVP is Andy, filmed for hours without the backpack camera rig, just hand held like a boss.
Easy. You could lock yourself in a nuclear bunker and all you’d hear is “a click out of One. Two is binding. Nothing on Three…” and you’d just have to accept your fate.

@@MarioGoatse I imagine they were talking off camera since Linus was recording and would have told him beforehand. If he’s a fan, he’s aware of Linus’ sense of humor and we didn’t see their whole interaction.
@@realJeffDunham I’d like to imagine that too, but I didn’t see it, so who knows. Linus is genuinely a really great guy though, and I don’t think he’d ever brush someone off on purpose, but I could see him being too busy or forgetting. Agreed on his humour though. An LTT fan would definitely understand his humour. He’s not a mean guy.
Yeah the full 3 hours on XQC's channel is almost better. Theirs some missing questions and longer answers. Hell, Linus' reaction to finding out the problem is missing a bit of the fun. Linus finds it, starts to over react, and then tries to tamper himself down, then pulls out his phone flashlight to make sure. It's just a bit more interesting that way.
Having watched most of the VOD, I'm impressed too. It was interesting to see Linus at work, as well. Not often, but he would sometimes stop in the middle of a sentence to repeat or rephrase something to make it sound better, totally seamlessly. Imagine doing multiple takes and thinking ahead about how the video is going to get cut, while also doing a live interview the whole time. Crazy.
@@bagel_deficient Linus is really something. In all the various channels I watch, he is for sure among the most well spoken, able to put coherent thoughts together, and has a genuine interest in what he is doing. He actually is so good and his delivery that it doesn't seem like most of his content is read off of a teleprompter. Conversely there are many more channels out there that are interesting as well and get way more into depth of the news and tech, but MAN they are soooooo boring. SOOOO many youtubers have ZERO stage presence, I really don't understand how some of them have an audience as large as they do.
I normally watch videos at 1.5x and thought "man I'm gonna have to slow this down to normal speed" just to find my settings had defaulted back to normal speed already since it was a new tab
I genuinely struggled to understand him for so much of the video. Slowing it down to 0.5x speed made him understandable, but it also made Linus sound like he was drunkenly trying to explain everything 😂
Imagine being stressed about your new build not working and then Linus just shows up at your door with a bleeding edge armful of new parts and he just builds it for you. The dream.

So according to Linus on the LAN show XQC moves A LOT. He moves so often and doesn’t even trust moving companies not to leak his location, that X has a Amazon shopping list and like ever month he moves to a new house and re buys everything on his Amazon list to furnish each house. So it looks like a goblin den because it’s not a home, it’s some temporary walls with a roof that he won’t live in a month.
@@NorweskiDrwal he persona...most PPL have a different personality offline and online....but since x is live for 18-20 hours regularly i doubt he can keep a persona up
@@NorweskiDrwal If you seriously believe successful streamers with eccentric personalities aren't playing it up for the camera I have news for you. xQc's stream is actually a lot more calculated than you'd think and he's talked about it before, making sure something is always happening to keep viewers' attention.
@@NorweskiDrwal Linus is trying to compliment X to curry favour and clout. Linus likes to believe X isn't as stupid as he seems on stream. But X isn't playing a character, he really is like that. And now that X is super rich he's not even self-conscious about it.
@I.P Onyo it is fair. Anyone has the chance to try to become the biggest streamer in the world but only the best do. They are also giving him free stuff as a form of payment
They all put on acts for their streams to some extent. It's probably really hard to be in front of a camera all day with 50k people watching and just be yourself.
@@sfbenji Actually, I'm pretty sure it's the opposite. The longer someone spends being filmed, the more likely they are to be themselves. This is seen in reality shows and/or documentaries. I recall something like a show where they had people come in to be prisoners and prison guards in a prison. The people acting as guards and prisoners seemed pretty normal at first, but after a while, the veil drops and they just start doing what they would do if the cameras weren't there. Y'know, abusing their power, threatening eachother, fighting, etc.
@@Edward-Not-Elric You're likely referring to the Stanford Prison Experiment or something that emulated them, which investigated the effects of controlled authoritarian settings with a dominant and subservient class on human behavior. However, this isn't in any way related to human behavior while filmed. Moreover, while your supposition may be plausible in settings where people are recorded for extended periods of time, i.e. weeks or months, comparing that to streamers is unrealistic since they have the capacity to turn off their stream, re-center and be themselves for several hours and retain full autonomy in regards to when and for how long they are filmed. I don't doubt many aspects of streamers' personalities come out in their online personas, but the likelihood that these online persona are exaggerated for the sake of driving traffic to their platform is likely extremely high, nearly approaching a guarantee.
@ProudOfYourRoots I totally understand that everyone has different tastes and preferences when it comes to entertainment. What he enjoys watching may not be everyone's cup of tea, it might still be his favourite. Why negative?
@@Max1996YT The way I figure it out is go to the XQCclips youtube channel, search what I'm looking for, and then look at the date. His editors post those short clip videos while he's streaming, so the date of the video should be the same date as the stream you're looking for.
@@GrumpyTy34er I presume you're talking about a cheap USB-C DAC. Wired headphones typically use analog signals which are far more susceptible to interference, a cheap DAC may not offer sufficient shielding (I've had 2 myself, the first one was crap the second one, which cost about $12, works great). Digital signals are far more robust though the higher the speeds the more sensitive they become. For typical internet speeds you don't need a whole lot of shielding.
Holy crap. Props to the audio guys. I seriously cant tell what xqc says in a normal sentence on a normal day. whatever you did made him sound a little more legible.
It's the same guy that helps Jay out as well and a few other RU-vidrs. Honestly, I don't know how they make money with all the free components they give out. This is at least the 4th video this week I've seen of that store giving free stuff out to RU-vidrs. I know it's the same store because it's the same employee in all the Vids. I'm thinking of flying to that store and saying I'm building a pc, and they can sponsor it, and they'll just let me go through the store hoping and skipping along, lol
@@davidjames0106 they are saving a lot of money because for them is just give some components(they have A LOT) in exchange for excellent publicity which would cost them more and would be less effective.

I love these "In the field" videos. They remind us that Linus actually knows his shit and isn't just reading off of a script every day. I actually prefer these types of LTT videos.
If you watch the WAN show, you will know that xQc literally lives on the move. He doesn't "unpack" anything. He has a wishlist on amazon, so that when he moves, everything is there when he arrives.
@@nupagagyi Lmao. A Minecraft villager. That’s hilarious. I think if he spoke a bit slower and clearer he’d be fine though. A lot of the problem I have is his talking speed and stuttering.
This was a 10/10 idea that was executed near perfectly. Way to capture the actual feeling of your friend coming to save the day with your build, with his extra hardware and tools.
Especially when Linus found out the problem was just xQc forced something in wrong. It's always going to be something your friend discovers that makes you feel stupid.

I'm not one for livestreams but I can't deny that XQC is a joy to witness. How someone can be so charismatic despite being wholly unintelligible is beyond me.
And tbh, a lot of people here have said stimulants, but I think it seems like neurodivergence. Dude seems to have very hyperactive adhd, and he seems to have his thoughts running ahead of his words most of the time, especially with english being a second language.
@@channel_x_8 r/woosh In seriousness I know he isn't small, watched him for awhile and its cool we get a crossover like this just cause linus didn't wanna see him mess anything up
Enjoying this format. Kinda hinges on having a guest like xQc though who is genuinely interested in what is going on. I also get the sense that like myself, Linus enjoys something like this way more if the person is engaged and asking questions.
They had an interesting conversation about the GPU and microchip industries. xQc asked a few great questions that let Linus just rant, while still being interesting.
I have the same belief as him when it comes to a problem just solving itself out of no where. People around me will be just like "Welp its gone now so things are good" meanwhile i', frustrated as hell because i learned nothing and have the fear it will come back just as suddenly.
There is more content to be gained from actually getting into the weeds on this. A new build would've been lazy content. We should be inspiring critical thinking and problem solving over quick fixes that make the bad feelings go away.
With the “mystery problems” I have to agree. As a programmer, it’s an absolute nightmare when trying to debug your program and not knowing what’s wrong with it when it comes up once and you have no idea how to reproduce it
I have never seen a person talk that fast before, I had to check to see if my video playback speed was increased at first. He seems super genuine and really nice. He reminds me of me when I'm trying to communicate sometimes and the thoughts are going through my head faster than I can explain and I end up mixing up my words. One might think the guy was on drugs but I think he's just awkward and has a little bit of anxiety mixed with ADHD. I think I'm going to find that stream to see what it was like from the other side lol
He does have ADHD and anxiety. Also english isn't his first language. You pretty much described him perfectly lol. He's a bit different while streaming. He portrays a more "toxic funny" persona while he is in a game, but he is just really entertaining to watch.
That is the foundation of being an engineer, not just wanting to fix something, but knowing exactly what went wrong, and understanding what went wrong. I'm glad they hunted down the issue.
I watched the full VOD for this one and it was worth every second, they have great chemistry and conversations that makes it not at all boring to watch. Great video with the people observer.
