@@uotafak8479 he acts as a middle man for content. People watch his reactions instead of going to the original video. The original video doesn't get views and RU-vid doesn't recommend the channel as much. Instead of being recommended the original channels' videos, people get recommended XQC's reactions to videos. Subscriber count means nothing. Clicks and *watchtime* are what the algorithm favor. Basically reactions not only screws creators on the views for their video but on their ability to be promoted by the algorithm. People don't actually see a large view bump on videos from reactions. There have been creators that have gained maybe a few hundred more views on videos that were reacted to. Again, even if they do get a big bump in views on a video, XQC and all these reactors will take up the users recommend feed over original creators. So maybe at best the creator sees a small spike on a single video but that's rare since the viewer would have to manually navigate to a video they already watched with the streamer and watch it again. Just clicking on the link to the video doesn't help either. If you go to the link and then click off shortly after, RU-vid thinks the video is not worth watching because watch time was low and won't recommend it. Instead, RU-vid recommends the reactors This is only a general overview but I recommend watching DarkViperAU's video on why react content is actually terrible for the original creators

I've watched asmongold and xqc reaction videos alot and that's all that's in my recommended feed now. It's actually fucked how it only benefits the reactors. I almost never click on links to the original channels' cause I figured I'd just watch with XQC or asmongold. I'm guilty of it but I'm trying to do better and stop watching reaction videos.

How the whole news industry is centered around the wrong thing and she tried to do the right thing, but there were too many people who were too interested in airing stories that played off people's emotions. I hate to say it..but she died a martyr. She knew exactly what she was doing, even though I wish she felt better to realize staying alive was a better option. I just hope people realize that her death was not meant to be in vain. The impact and reason of her suicide was for a specific reason to spur change in the direction of news coverage and to put an end to "the blood and guts coverage", instead replacing it with actually impactful stories (stories that people will hate, and that people will find boring). Yup, but the law is supposed to be indiscriminate, so sadly, they couldn't just break into the man's house and catch him red-handed, but if it was someone else who was completely innocent, it would have just ended up causing trouble and loss of time for both the police and the person getting searched, hence why a search warrant is needed to justify the police's actions, anyways, their deaths are a tragedy

Well shit, you didn't do it, but that cop doesn't want to go down so they see some weed or really ANYTHING illegal, even minor. Well they will just charge you with that and now you got that hanging over you just because they fucked up. There's so many bad scenarios where this goes wrong, no knock warrant in a castle doctrine state leads to the owner shooting police not knowing and then the owner either dies or goes to jail because the police got it wrong. Even if they dont shoot they could attack in general. There's also they problem with just making shit up and it not even being legal and hoping you find something leading to severe corruption and intimidation. You've taken the legal system out of the process. The police could make up some bull shit trumped up charges and have no evidence or shaky evidence at best and either, again, finding something small, or planting something so they don't go down, all because they don't like you and want to fuck with you. There's so many more scenarios that play out with that being bad, and you've just eliminated a part of due process. I'm not saying it always works and people aren't hurt by it but it's the best system we have.

@@Kev7035 there are and its used by police all the time it's just certain cases slip through. If a cop walked up to the house and heard screaming he could then search the house including busting the door down based on extenuating circumstances. In this case it would be the evidence they gathered already together with the scream. The problem is, now everybody has cameras, it would be easy to see police walking up and silence her. The other problem is they would have to legitimately be going up to his house for a real reason not just snooping, which would include going up to his door and potentially alerting him without actually finding a reason to enter. This is similar to the principle that allows police to search your car if they smell weed in your car when they just pulled you over for speeding because they smell it. The problem is, again, they have to have a legitimate reason to approach you, especially on private propert,, which your lawn is included, and can't just snoop around. It either has to actually be an accident or plausible deniability of it being an accident. This is all in place for very good reason, imagine a police officer just comes to your doo because they believe you're a killer, search your house and ransacked it (they don't clean up their mess and it usually is a mess), don't find anything about you killing someone, but take you in to custody because you pirated the last season of game of thrones. Imagine hoping to jail because you watched that sgitty season of game of thrones because they thought you killed someone.
