@@dnuma5852 I was addressing the gun part. But yes, you are correct. It's just the "technical" part of this only. Because If we go technical even a plucked string instrument is a percussive instrument in a way.
"Why do you pay people to play the piano if a piano can do that?" That's like asking why all music isn't just computer generated or why people don't just watch an AI play video games perfectly.
Exactly, he only takes something he doesn't know/want to know and uses a bad take that can apply to any game as well. Why would someone pay him to play in the OWL?
@@OcarinaOfVali he explained it with flaws. he said that humans can outplay aimbot, and while that is true, humans can not beat rage spinbots. in the case of piano, however, a machine will never be able to replicate the intricacies of the human mind with emotion
"why do you need people to play the piano if the piano can do that" Is the same thing as asking "Why are there speed runners if TAS can beat the games faster"
It's not just having fun. This piano can't innovate anything, it can't come up with new music. That's why it's still relevant to play. Playing allows you to innovate and come up with new songs. AI's wont be able to do that for a very long time.
Rush E is like the perfect demonstration of how less is more. There's a point in music where it goes from a tune, to a piece, and then to fucking white noise where you can barely hear the melody over the sound of someone who painted Shrek's face on the midi.
I wouldn't say it demonstrates "less is more", just that everything has its limits. You can overdose on water, but if you're drinking enough to get to that point you're doing something intentionally out of the ordinary; exact same concept with creations like Rush E. It wasn't created to be taken as a serious piece of music, so critiquing it as one is a bit illogical. It'd be like professional movie critics giving legitimate reviews to shitposts
I thought it’s the opposite since rush E is known for being simultaneously cacophonous and symphonic where you can hear all the distinctive notes and chords from the passage atop of a chaotic background.
"Why do so and so things if you can't be the best at it?" Idk, because it's fun? To express yourself? To pass the time? Streamers are definitely built different man, winner mindset and shit. Must be exhausting I think
"Why play then?" Is such a terrible argument. Why play OW when there's cheaters and bots that are better than you? (I know he won't see this, but that argumet is ABSOLUTELY braindead)
also a non musician though. It’s easier to remember that emotion and feeling is a huge factor in a piece when you’ve been playing instruments and applied those concepts urself
yea that's true. even if a computer can is perfect in technicality, it can never play musically like a human, and the whole point of music is to be nice to listen too.
with machine, u literally felt no connection. human is like our world. sometimes its windy, sometimes its hot, sometimes its cold n sometimes its wet. it give soothing feeling that touch human soul, something machine will never be able to do.
No there is no gaining braincells, the whole idea is fake and stupid, the only reason you "understand" what the piano is saying is because you read the words at the same time... and these arent complicated pieces they are just impossible
I hear the Green needle the first time but after brainstorm i couldnt go back, the best i could hear was grainstorm or close to that, nothing close to "needle"
@Belle ♪ Very emotional story. Now I have heard of the dark side of Pokémon which is animal abuse. I’m going to sue Nintendo for this. Thank you for revealing unreleased footage of a Pokémon trainer abusing… Now I know how pokemons become stronger since they get beaten up all the time… bless you and amen
I hate xqcs “why do it if robot do it better” take he’s letting his natural competitiveness leak into things that aren’t about competition you don’t need to be the best piano player to play piano because it isn’t about competition
@@qwerty-cf8qr sure, it ”played” the compositions technically ”perfect” (which really just means it played them poorly), but theres no emotion involved it it and the sound that is produced is incredibly bland and tasteless
@@qwerty-cf8qr i think we have varying levels of exposure to music. in the realm of pop music and covers of songs youre 90% correct. you can still tell a computer is playing simply because the tone and timbre of the instrument will be unchanged when it plays different notes. besides from that people who make those pop channels have no emotion to add unless theyre trained in jazz or classical and are using pop only as a matter of monetary gain. in that sense you would be correct, but if we step outside of pop into a world where emotion actually plays a role in the music that all changes. emotion isnt about flaws, its about, well, emotions. you sit down at the piano to play a piece. based on everything youve ever been through in your life up until that point you will be able to feel where the first note wants to be in accordance to that, basically encompassing every emotion youve ever felt into that one single note. you play it and try to get it to sound that way, but since the human is flawed the note will sound differently. that different note is now the protagonist in the story and you have to listen to it and try to understand ”where do you belong”. you put every single emotion ypuve ever felt including that tone being played into discovering where you feel in the moment that the next note wants to be. being a good pianist means being good at knowing yourself and being self critical to be able to quickly and accurately access your emotions and bring out an entire life cycle of feelings in every played note. this is why a computer performing with perfect technical skill also means horrible playing. a computer first of all doesnt have a lifetime of emotions to cycle through with every note and it wont be able to add anything to any one note. secondly, even if it did have emotions it will play every note exactly as intended which means the interpretation wont change and it will become very bland. TLDR: your comment is right because it only relates to pop which doesnt really have deep emotion embedded in it
>It's why I stopped playing chess, if the computer can do better, why play By that logic, you should never do anything, because there will almost always be someone or something better than you at doing the same thing. Everybody that's doing something is not doing it to be the best in the world, many people just do things for fun, for the love of the sport, to socialize with other people doing the same thing, or just to be able to watch themselves improve and get better at something. It's like when X was speedrunning Minecraft. He wasn't doing it to get a world record, he was just trying to PB and beat Forsen.
Xqc's point about "why play if a computer can do it better", yet he makes a living playing video games that exploits and aimbots could do better. What?? Edit: he actually addresses this later on as I watched and he actually made a stupider point than the previous one, yeezus
The inventer of that mechanism is John Isaac Hawkins, not Bartolomeo. Grand piano and Upright are pretty different mechanisms, surely an engineer should understand that?
The only reason they think they heard it is because they already know what he is going to say but if you didn't know what he was going to say you would have no idea what it is
The people in chat saying they can hear it after being told exactly what to listen for which completely defeats the purpose of closing your eyes... lol
Am I the only one who realizes he asked why play if a robot can to simply bait chat for replies, content, donos to roast him or give an answer, etc? Look at his face after he asks that and is reading what everybody is saying lmao. Dude is smart and knows what he's doing. His chat on the other hand PepeLaugh
yup, it isnt actually saying anything. it is just creating sound that is similar to a human voice, and when we read the text our brain interprets the sound into words.
"its how you use your aim. if you're creative to make plays to make the aim work" wait till he learns about OpenAI pepelaugh. bots that not only have perfect mechanical skill but also "creative plays" coming for his favorite games in the future.
Rush E is most definitely not the world's hardest piano piece... Xenakis produced absurdities almost impossible to play perfectly to the demands of the score. His work is true mathematical horror.
Well I mean, you would need multiple pianos as some notes are quieter than others. Meaning that you either need a special piano and be extremely precise (which would be impossible) or get multiple pianos to make the effect of some keys being louder… but youll also need to be extremely synchronized with the others
After first seeing this piano, I thought. Wow I'd love to see it play rush e. Guess I'll never find out tho, because mark would never do it, BUT NOPE, MY DREAM WILL COME TRUE
