My favorite detail that was pointed out by others, is since he's tarnished his grace leads to the player. This shows that his goal is to kill the player meaning to Godfrey we are the boss

You know, I'm sure there was about 50 different things he was doing wrong when he was using rivers of blood, and I do know what it looks like when it's used properly, but he seemed to have a much better time when he went back to what he wanted to do, instead of using a meta weapon chat put him up to. so ultimately, I think it was good that he switched back to what he liked.
Yeah I'm pretty sure he did this when arcane weapons just had 0 scaling so they were all ass and rhe starscourge's are some of the best weapons arguably
this wasnt much of a fight for my build, strengh poke build, you learn the fights quicker since you are far more durable with shields. I think i beat him in the third attempt
I love the way horah loux fights. As a fellow strength based unarmed specialist I cant wait to get his ashes of war. Really should have made this fight drawn out and longer. It would have made a real test with how focused you have to be.

@@perseus1293 No shit, any game allows you to do whatever you want. That doesn't mean u should do that or an ideal way doesn't exist. Atleast for the first playthrough you should be exploring everything in this game.
You can tell his experience by the way he dosent do double chugs and panic rolls aswell as calling one of the most op weapons trash while having wrong points spent for it hahaha
To all the RoB metaslaves in the comments: This was before the arcane stat got patched to actually work. Also it's clear that the dude actually preferred using his strength build anyway.
You see his stats multiple times in this video. He has 22 str, 40 dex and 20 arcane. Even the requirements on starscourge greatswords were red. He is obviously spec'd for dex weapons.
@@dangerwarg9682 Alex clearly did. And he meant his play style and how he’s used to doing things is for a Great sword or heavy weapons while playing as a tank. Not a speedy weapon which requires dodging lots and finding openings as well as blood loss.
@@ohhowunique5576 Hey don't write the story for him as if he's too fucking stupid to have said that on his own. He is talking about the stats for why the River of Blood was doing so little damage, BEFORE XQC dropped it and respecced in the same video.
In the later new games this fight gets so intense. After ng+6 this fight is just fun. Period. Because all of his attacks do so much more damage and forget about being grabbed unless you have heavy armor. Not worth worrying about lol
That's exactly where the trap is in this fight. How slowly he attacks, how he takes his time to attack so you panic roll or your muscle memory makes you roll and get hit
My problem is that he's pretty basic for what i expected, i mean he's the Elden Lord, at least i expected something more unique and more intimidating, he's just a regular warrior with a big axe and a lion stand, and by the way, what did the lion even do?, then he kills the lion and somehow fuses with him, that's cool and all but it seemed way too basic for me, idk it's just my opinion tho
This is my favorite boss in the entire game, lol. I was 99% sure he was the final boss so I went in with caestus only. It felt like the only way to fight this guy. A true duel to the death. Two strength chads duking it out. Also he is one of the most unique bosses in the entire souls series, IMO. His second phase basically turns into a WWE match and I love it. Idk how this streamer can get so angry…I had the most stupid grin on my face when I was fighting him. I laughed like a maniac when he launched me into the air in phase 2 and bodied me lol. This streamer needs a chill pill.
the hardest boss fight for me was Radagon but after a few attempts I figured what I should use and when to run. Godfrey was not that bas Horah Loux I was worried about but I got through it
the phase transition cutscene is cooler if you remember the first cutscene that mentions him as chieftain of the badlands. cool little callback, but yeah its p funny otherwise lol.
Took me 7 tried and thats because i enjoyed the fight so much i deliberately died while he was one hit away just to fight him again. Not all ER bosses are good but those that are, they are extraordinarily good. Godfrey and Raddahn mvps.
@@moonlightblade292 I define better not neccessarily as hard but the quality of the overall fight, the music, the moveset of the enemy, the flow, the lore behind it and the feel of it. For instance my favourite fights in DS3 were Gael and Abyss watchers. Gael was the hardest boss and abyss watchers werent impressive in difficulty but both bosses were AMAZING to fight.
@@rudalph529 Dont worry many players are getting stuck to different bosses. It might be a build, a level or overall a personal issue. You might not be getting his timings right or you are missing tricks that would make your life easier. Each one has their own nemesis, but we all agree we hate Malenia equally.
I wouldn't say I'm "glad" xQc thought the same about how goofy his "WARRIOOOOOOOR" segment was since I did love the game and whatnot, but... yeah I couldn't help but laugh at that
Dude, he does. I am on NG+2, a grandma, and a streamer on a challenge run. I am trying to beat the game solo... he has me stuck. I LIVE stream co-op so I can learn his mechanics.
