IIRC, these Aux jacks are TRS balanced but still mono, correct? I have an XR12 and was wondering if I have to use both Aux 1 and 2 stereo-linked to get a single stereo Aux channel (which is how I'm currently doing it) or if Aux 1 and 2 can work in stereo separately. Thanks!

Thanks for all the good begginer videos. Is it possible to remotely control an XR18 device over the internet network? We have a space that we rent for venues and currently we control everything (lights, locks, power switches) using smart remote control apps (over the internet). We also have an XR18 sitting in a rack but we cannot remotely control it. Technically, it should be possible to connect to the local network and access the mixer's setting using Mixing Station app. Right?

Hi Hossein, Yes, this is possible. You need to have a computer running some sort of remote software. I personally use VNC but they've made it difficult to get the free version these days so I've stopped recommending that one for remote operations, I generally tell people to have a look at Parsec now. There are other pieces out there that do the same and you just have to find one you like. - Parsec - VNC - Team Viewer - Anydesk There are others, this is just a quick list. once you install a remote software on a computer that is on the same network as your XR18, you just remotely log into that computer from wherever you are, open the XR Software (OR MIXING STATION) and boom....Remote control !!! Keep in mind....you will NOT be able to hear anything you're doing with the mixer. Remote software doesn't give you that sort of ability. Just the ability to control the mixer. Hope this helps. @@QuickEZ Thank you for your answer! I might consider this solution eventually. The thing is I was hoping for a direct connection to the mixer over the TCP/IP. This way I don't need to have an always-on PC/laptop on-site.

In theory you could do this. It would require setting up port forwarding in your router to the mixer, and having a static external IP you could point your remote computer to, or always being aware of what your dynamic ip from your internet provider is. I haven’t tried this but it brings up a truly interesting idea. I’ve added this to my “videos to do” list.
