Tocha voice was hoarse here and she still sound good. There sisterly love is so beautiful. It's just naturally genuine. I pray they can get back to this.
I think Tamika's voice, specifically, is kind of legendary. Her verses/part on "Who can I run to?", "Arms of the one I run to", and "Tonight" are so beautiful. I specifically think her recorded verse on "Tonight" is one of the best verses I've EVER heard, and I'm comparing her against the GREATS. Out of any cover I've heard of that song, NO one comes close. NO ONE.
Tameka Scott and Kandi were the two strongest vocalist of Xscape (In My Opinion) but the problem with Tameka..she was not consistent as a vocalist..she sounded great in some songs singing lead ("Run To The Arms"'< "Who Can I Run To", "What Can I DO")...but sounded flat and off key in others ("Love On My MInd", "Tonight", etc.). she had the range and vocals..she just couldn't give the "Got It" power like Kandi or LaTocha Scott.
Kandi is def a strong vocalist.... listen to Tonight comin mix live... it's a remix of Tonight and Kandi went off. Or listen to Who can I run to... kandi MADE THAT SONG. you hear her throughout the song

I'm so glad singers from the 90s took notes from the older generations and took care of their voices over the years. Too many older artists, with a few exceptions, sound like they've never sung a day in their life.
Listennnnn, it felt like a whole mini concert. Their "live" voices sound exactly the same as their "studio" voices. ALL 4 of them can blow! They've ALWAYS been my number 1 female group.
When she hit that note on that verse asking "Is there a place for me?", that literally sends pleasant chills all over my body! Those vocals are give me LIFE!
LaToy Facey True that. They never really left the business though. Tamika was doing stage plays that required her to sing and LaTocha was still songwriting and being featured on others' songs. These two have voices that were simply MADE for music.
Y’all just figured out that Tamika voice has a better range she just sits in the background because she didn’t know her worth! Glad she found her voice!
It's soooo good to see the Scott sisters sing! They look so happy. I really wish the girls come together and give us what we are hoping for. A reunion! We know things were said forgive and forget and create magic. And Tameka made me holler when she made a joke about Tocha's runs.. Bc that girl can run for days!
I just don't understand. ..these women are so beautifully talented, yet they hear the music passing for rnb these days. There are some good music. However i wish they would just come back and show these ladies of this generation how real true divas get down.
Can we get an album with just the Scott Sisters. We love yall with Xscape also but put that family album together. Yall are a force to be recon with together ❤
These 2 sisters carried Xscape thru their entire career they made the group thru there angelic heavenly voices they have skats & runs that will make ur momma cry those girls can truly blow Bless their careers and much prosperity 2 them
Don't care about all ya comments Xscape will not be Xscape without all 4 lovely ladies, so don't care whose voice is more powerful than this person or that person I just love them bad!!!!
This Is REAL R&B. My Favorite was always The Scott Sisters and it's sad that after all these year xsxape can't put all their difference a side and give the fans what the real want A REUNION.
laiya p they are great but I think for some reason Kandi and Tiny were more interesting vocally. It's like comparing Whitney to Mariah. They had more colors and sides to their voices(Kandi and Tiny)
Them girls can SANG! I wish they could get back to the group Xscape.. Tocha said she just wants to get back to the music and drop all that other crap off at the door because they have awesome chemistry in the studio.
These two sisters made Xscape a great group. They could have had any two other girls and the group would have been just as good. Latocha has the prettiest voice and her sister has the strongest voice. They're two amazing singers.
Both of the sister's can blow there asses off. I can't choose sides. Wish the hell I could blow like that. I love seeing sister's collaborate together. Me and my sister's don't hve a close bond at all.🎤🎶🎧👊👏
The difference between Tameka Scott and Kandi's vocals are the fact that Kand's range was more diverse than her but Tameka's vocals had the soul. They were the two strongest singers of the four. But Tameka rarely sang lead in Xscape cause JD preferred to have Kandi do all the lead vocals.
P Harris JD did a great job arranging and that shaped the sound of the group. The fans of Xscape were used to hearing Kandi do all the lead singing and LaTocha Scott doing second lead vocalist and all the ab libs.
Im a diehard Xscape fan and a fan of Kandi..and hands down, Tameka had THE STRONGEST voice..she just needed to learn how to use it w/o being pitchy..but she is the real gusto singer...just becus u sing higher doesnt mean u sing better!!!
I miss Xscape. They need to come back out!!!! Candi is not a soloist at all and Tiny making ratchet songs now talking about "WTF you gon do" xscape is nothing without you 2. Love ya'll!!!
