The USB-C port is the obsolete PD2.0. It requests 12V which isn’t available in the PD3.0 standard so many supplies won’t support it. Have you tried plugging it into one to see what it does? The spec mentions it also works with QC3 at 9V so hopefully it negotiates down to 9V and still gets most of the functionality.
Hi Julian, CAn you tall me how to get my new VX4 to hold the capacity reading from a test, so when I get back to my desk I can see the reading? It seems to go through endless cycles of charging/discharging, and I never know the battery's capacity from a test.
Thank you Julain I apreciat this video. I have been looking at that charger for some time now debating it but ive never got one cause I couldn't ever get a video of it to see if it was worth th money. I just ordered mine after putting it off for a good 2 years. Thanks for showing me that it is a decent charger. :) (cool to know it can do nimh, I thought it was just a standard 18650 charger.)
- Will protected (long) 21700 cells fit? (e.g. from Nitecore or Olight) - Can you add and charge other cells while grading is running in another slot? - Is it possible to show or see the measured internal resistance? (Most VC4*/VC8* models show it)
First with 1,5V LiIon-testing function but to many Drawbacks: NiMH-charge only 0,5A Grading only at 0,3A, a high capacity cell will take much time Slots cannot configured individually Charger let only set you max. current, depending on Internal Resistance it will slow you down from 3A to 0,5A No discharge function
@@Daniel-hd7gq Depends on what you really need and how much you want to pay. Most 1,5V-Li-Ion have an USB_c for direct charging or a very basic charger for less money. If you´re OK with only NiMH and Li-Ion the best charger is still the Vapcell S4+
That looks almost identical to my Amazon Basics smart charger (currently unavailable, so little point in adding a link). Buttons are in a different place to the Amazon one, but the display is the same (I'd swear to it...), and "quite similar" functionality.
My old LiitoKala 500 has more functions and is thinking of getting to 600 to charge faster for my 26650. I think xtar isn't keeping up with the technology. I think they are trying to make it to foolproof 😒🤷♂️
If I click on the link for aliexpress, it show as low as 31€ + 10€ shipping. If I log in its 46€ + almost 11€ shipping. Nice device, bad policy. Nah thanks. I'm looking for someone who knows the price of their products.
AliExpress is often showing welcome offer when not logged in. These pieces are very low compared to real prices for logged in users. This is very annoying and misleading.
I think if it's "Shipped by Aliexpress", they add import tax. For me in Canada I was angry to see the same thing, but with a laughable $20 CAD import exemption limit here everything gets taxed and Aliexpress quotes a tax-included price. Only lucky Americans get an $800 US import tax exemption.
