Awesome video!! Attention to detail. Well scripted. Thorough presentation. You nailed it for the Xterra! I hear Lenny Kravitz, " I want to get away!" in the background.
Great vid and I feel for all you guys back east or in those elements. I couldn't see my baby being eaten by rust, I would do a undercarriage spray or something and don't even get me started on interior
Everyone always says manual is better. But it definitely is more difficult/ requires more skill than an automatic. But an automatic in my opinion is just as good. I don’t believe there is actually an advantage one way or the other. Just preference
Hi ...thanks for the current rig review... enjoyed it ....going to buy an Xterra and go overlanding....been watching your rig development....how much you have in the upgrades?....I am thinking a budget of $10,000 in upgrades will get me on the back lands....keep updating us followers...ciao
Glad you enjoyed the video! Hoping to make some more consistent content in the near future. But if you want to stay more up to date. Check out the channel Instagram conheck21_official. I post a lot more frequently there
Awesome build man! Saw a comment that you were wanting to titan swap it. Is that the best suspension upgrade for Xterras? Also, what are your thoughts on V8 swaps?
Titan swapping is like the best thing you can do before SAS. I’d love to V8 swap the X. It’s just about finding the right engine. Lots of people go for the VK56 from the Titan. But I’ve seen a few LS swaps out there
I’m getting the radflos but my upper control arm is touching the inside of my wheel well with Rancho shocks, will this change once I add the radflos ? I have the titan suspension for my x
It handles fine. It is by no means a sports car, but I have no issues with highway driving. Just make sure you get a decent lift and make sure the tires are balanced properly and it will be handle just fine. I have deleted both my front and rear sway bars, and I can still make evasive maneuvers if I need to. I also cruise at 75-80 mph consistently and it is just fine as well at that speed. Gas mileage takes a hit obviously with larger and more aggressive tires, but you can’t have both lol Check out nisstec lifts, they’re great. And give them a call. They’ll be able to help you figure out exactly what you want and point you in the right direction
Can you go into more details on how you mounted your inreach and explain how you hook up the iPad to it. Does the SOS feature work without the subscription? Thanks
The inreach is mounted with a mount that is designed for it from garmin, and it connects to the iPad via Bluetooth. I believe the sos works without subscription. But not 100%
I'm adding some weight to my X and have been looking to add horsepower to help maintain acceleration. Did you notice any gains from your exhaust and headers?
I have OME leafs in the rear and I only have like 5k miles on them and they are loud when going over uneven terrain. Is this normal? I actually have the whole OME suspension kit with leaf springs which I think is up to a 2" lift over stock. (2012 Xterra Pro-4X)
@@conheck_offroad sorry I meant OME (I fixed it). All shocks and leafs are basically brand new. Just curious if you dealt with any noise. Sounds like you haven't. Other than that everything is fine.
@@conheck_offroad thanks man! Have any knowledge willing to share about what models you should go for? From my understanding there’s a sport and a X I think. But just starting to get into the xterra world and would love to know what the perfect model/year to look for?
Look for a 2011 and later. Those don’t have the SMOD issues. I’d recommend a pro 4x they come with the factory elocker in the rear which is very helpful
@@conheck_offroad just ordered the both Front cats and rears of Z1 site. Was going to ask are you using any 02 harness extensions for the front 02 sensors?
Yeah! Basically just warm up the plastic fender liner and push it out of the way to prevent rubbing. Very simple but effective. I ran 33s with no rubbing on the lift in the video
The type of shock doesn’t affect ride hight in the rear. It’s all the leaf springs and shackles that do that. If you at stock ride hight, you will prob have rubbing when you articulate
The background shuffling sound quickly becomes annoying, especially for those with hearing difficulties. It is beyond me why RU-vid content creators think it is cool playing music over their voice. Remember, we came to hear you not fight the music.
