I was going over some of the reviews and comments on Amazon and several of the comments were you are not to use that cord to connect the A30 directly to the DLC you are to only use the cord to connect to the Bluetooth that could be the reason of your fail when you went to hook directly to the DLC.
Good review. If Xtool can't sort out the glitches then it is just one more scan tool out of thousands that leave you frustrated because at some point you find a feature that doesn't work. These scan tool manufacturers need to publish an up to date list of what each scan tool can do and update the information on their website so you know where you are before you even think of buying it. If XTool can do that and fix the glitches then they will be worth buying over the competition. I am fed up with buying scan tools that promise a lot and sending them back because they don't work or only half work.
Looking at this xtool a30 pro and tge icarsoft cr pro same price what would bet better. I have a renault sandero stepway 2014 need to relearn crank sensor and asb bleeding?
Wow you were a bit harsh. some of the points should have been higher. I bet you did not check before you purchased it that that sprinter was not listed. I have been looking at the A30M and I did see the cars it can work with before I purchase. The OBD 2 should have communicated to the engine with bi-directional for that reason I would give 1 star as well.
Besides allowing you to check individual functionality of systems and components, does a bi-directional scan tool allow you to reprogram thing like idle speed to a custom rpm? Would it allow crazy stuff like deploying an airbag? Or is it totally up to the car manufacturer if these things could be done with a scan tool? I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth getting a bi-directional vs non bi-directional tool.
Each make is different and the best thing to do is email the vendor your Vin and make ÷ model and add for a list of available features for your vehicle.
@@dbfcrell8300 I doubt you can change idle speed with a scan tool.. thats more "mapping", changing ECU paramaters the common bi-directional (active tests) are windows, sunroof, rad/ac fan
Yeah you should have the engine. And also it still read data when the motor is off but ignition is on. It all depends on what you are trying to active and diagnose. I was just showing it access live data.
I have this scanner, but I'm unable to wireless print? I can email the report with no problem. I've looked at some videos with other Xtool scanners and they show that you have to download some printer driver into the scan tool? I don't know if this scanner has wireless printing capability or am I just doing something wrong? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise the scanner is Awesome!!!
@@RANDOMFIX My scantool didn't pick up any error codes. I bought torque fluid on amazon poured 2oz and it significantly reduced the shudder, almost unnoticeable. Can't remember the exact name of the product. It's been months. Still good.
Short answer is no but I see some improvements. I would go with one of these depending on your price point. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ewky_DsA0MI.html Great value ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7FULWygvHko.html These units are complete and glitch free.
After 12 months, you have to pay the renewal for all the device programs, or it becomes useless. You pay about $1,200 to update the device every 12 months. Isn't this useless device at this cost a way of exploiting the consumer?
300+ dollar tool that is useless with bugs. good thing i saw this before wasting cash on this. i have over 10 year old scanner that connects in 2 seconds and reads codes.
I'm on my second A30Pro from Amazon, and neither one will connect to wifi, I had to use hotspot to get them set up, then they would not connect to any of my cars! POS
