I like a lot of add-on features of the Xtrusion rack but it was too heavy for me. Full height rack from them came in at 90 lbs while the one I selected was nearly 15 lbs lighter. I do appreciate that the Xtrusion has an extra 100 lbs of dynamic load capacity
This is my third set of the RT's and I absolutely love them. I'm in the midwest so I've had them in rain, snow, dry, and more and they do great in pretty much everything. They ride nice, they're really quiet for how aggressive they are. I think they'll probably be my go to tires on all my future rigs.
What did you use (bracket) to mount the strobe light in the back? I seen they come with suction cups for the window lol. Did you just use the same brackets or …
Sure! Mine's from Xtrusion Overland and it's 2" over cab height, which I believe is 23". Here's the link to the page for the rack if it helps: xtrusion-overland.com/collections/xtr3-build-your-own-bed-racks/products/xtr3-build-your-own-bed-rack-nissan-frontier
It is a little tricky to get them lined up and to reach all the bolts. I did notch the bottom of the bed rail a few millimeters to allow the bolt to slide through the extension bracket.
@@AllThingsOverlanding weird... I'm talking like a half inch difference in height from the rail to the top of the bed wall which prevents alignment completely... If I align it all the bracket sits half an inch above the bed wall
@@kaoticmind09 Do you have those bracket extensions (the flat piece of steel with slots cut out of it) times 4? Maybe they didn’t ship the extensions you need?
@@kaoticmind09 sure! Maybe just shoot me an email at allthingsoverlanding@gmail.com and then I can shoot you some pictures over. Just mention that you’re from the RU-vid comments.
