Funny to know that Fan Bingbing (the one who plays Wu Meiniang) was the original choice for Ruyi in Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace. If she had taken the role, it would be like watching Xu Hui and Meiniang reincarnated, and it would seem like Xu Hui was compensating Meiniang for her betrayal in their previous life, as Hailan is her total opposite 😊 but I can't imagine Ruyi being played by anyone else but Zhou Xun. She is a phenomenal actress and was an excellent cast.

True, but i honestly couldn't imagine fan bingbing playing ruyi in ruyi's royal love. Like seriously if she was played by fan bingbing, we would all be wondering if qianlong was blind to discard her for literally anyone, especially those prostitutes or even wei yanwan.
