Yang is still pretty and refined. Good to see Wang again. I first saw him when he came to San Francisco with the Shanghai Conservatory. He was about 10, wearing oversized shoes and pants a bit short. China was still poor then. Great musicians, both.

Beautiful performance. I used to play this with a flautist friend. I actually think it's better with cello. The whole suite is wonderful and the guitar part is really well written and great to play.

I can see that it was a sincere performance, but I sincerely missed Piazzola and the Argentinian flavor. It is too mechanical! Besides the video was showing almost all the time the cello player, leaving aside the great master guitarist!

It was curated that way, the Cellist was soooo super emotional and emotions or soul is what draws most people in. It gives a sense of authenticity like this person genuinely cares what he doing. I'm sorry you didn't get that.
