Hey, recently I purchased 2022 AGS (Automatic), and I had got 24.6KMPL average. As it is featured with Auto-Start/Stop, Hill climb support and 4 cyl engine. Yes I got this average on trip to Rajkot-Somnath-Porbandar-Dwarka-Rajkot, coastal area covered with AC on and some bad roads too.. Depends on your driving skills a lot.. how you drive the car.. I kept below 100 and I never accelerate without need
Absolutely correct Nital ji, earlier before using automatic I was not aware of these facts. But now I always used these tricks like in downhill no need to accelerate or while accelerating be watchful on RPM should not exceed 2000 or use crawling feature whenever needed
Always try and anticipate the need to brake. Always regulate slowing down using accelerator. Gradual increase in acceleration instead of sudden increase in speed.

Thank you bhai for the wonderful comment, and i will suggest going with AX5 if you have already stretched your budget. As AX5 will give all required things. Just before making your decision think you need all below features or not ADAS, ADAPTIVE CRUISE, 7 air bags (AX5 have 5 ), TPMS, automatic AC, 360 Camera, seat splitting, automatic headlight, steering mounted control and wireless charging

@@movielover4900 you're right we don't know how much they've strengthen the structure yet on the new one😅. But 20L budget is something where we've to compromise something for something. You can even wait for upcoming Nexon DCT in case you want the top end variant of a car
Everything lies in RPM , try to reduce as much as you can. Instead of keep pressing the accelerator just touch and remove it on regular intervals and keep going
I will say never do it as you lose the ability to increase the speed of a car if required. And also u will be saving the same amount of fuel where you just don't press the accelerator. Extremely helpful suggestions. In 2024 Jan, what is your average mileage that you are getting from your car for city and highways and what is your total driven kilometers till date? Also, at 13:26 your mileage shows at 6.9 kmpl (on the Kadugodi flyover, near to Sai Baba's Ashram), and then suddenly, at the end of the trip, you are right in front of Belthur RxDx (some 400 - 500 meters from the flyover) and your trip meter now reads 10.2 kmpl! Curious to know, how did that happened - did you take a roundabout trip towards Hoskote and return towards Belthur?
Thank you for your feedback, but petrol is a more practical car nowadays compared to diesel one. I will suggest wait for a petrol one if you drive approx 1k per month.
Good tips but here is the thing. Why buy the '700 petrol if you want to constantly worry about the fuel bills ? At least use the pleasure of performance it offers.
@@reviewworks If the 700 had an 8 speed gearbox, the performance might have been more linear, but the mileage would have been better. A good balance so to speak.

Meri Xuv 700 Petrol At - 2300 rpm me gear shift karti hai. This is for 2nd and 3rd gear I assume. Is this normal ? Service centre says it takes 2300 rpm so no issue
If you keep pushing the pedal then it reaches 2k and upshift, instead try pushing and releasing and let the car move automatically for a couple of minutes this will upshift in lower rpms

@@reviewworks First of all I find your video useful. I have paddle shifters in my car and I am using them to upshift while being in automatic mode. Whenever the rpm reaches 2000+ I am stopping acceleration and upshifting with paddle and then resuming acceleration.
Don't Say Xuv 700 Automatic gives 17KM/L instead as per the odometer its 10.2 KM/L. The total distance you travelled was 17 KM. Please correct this in this clip title.

Diesel gives 2-3 km more per Litre, but it will be a good option if you have daily running of 50-100 km. Else I think go for petrol, considering the government ideas for diesel vehicles.

I have recently started seeing improvement on mileage. I have petrol z8 automatic and getting around 9 on mid and 8 tank to tank in noida city traffic no highway.
@@raviachar1464 I opted for some driving habit change and now I easily get 8 in city and 12 in highway for petrol automatic. Main thing is to drive the car light footed keeping a watch on instant mileage indicator. Scorpio N will give best mileage when driven under 2000 rpm around 80kmph.
Should have thought before clicking on the video. Mileage is always better at 2000rpm, being light foot. Thats the logic for each and every kind of gearbox.
Try to reduce pressing acceleration whenever possible at downhill or if the car is going by its own, When speeding up try to keep releasing the accelerator if rpm goes more then 2k as this time car change gear
