I must say that I like the Integra7 the most, Not the same warmth as from the Super JD, but it sounds fresher and more realistic. And that's really what I'm after.
Let's face it: Integra is a new machine, has more memory, more polyphony, sounds more expressive.... Still, I don't know why, I would use it as a VERY GOOD tool for a composer, as well as for a piano man playing also karaoke files. A very good work tool. Don't know about editing, but I have a JD990 with the Vintage board, and I am REALLY happy with it. 24 voices polyphony would be enough to compose a song in Kraftwerk style, if you squeeze it. Paying attention to presets....😊
Editing wise the integra pcm synth . is just as deep as the previous xv5080 .. What it doesn't have is osc.sync ..only the jd990 has that ..and the jd990 has a filter that goes up 12 Khz , the xv and integra goes up to 11.5 khz ...but the supernatral synth filters go up to 20 KHZ ( eat that jd990 ) and the resonace sounds amazing But the interga has amazing supernatural acoustic sounds and a a nice supernatural synth engine , while the supernatural synth engine is not as deep as the pcm synth engine ( which it also has ) , the sns synth filters are amazing ..but again ..Rland says the sns engine oscilators are VA , which is clearly not the case ..the noise is sample based , so is the supersaw ( two recoding cancel eah other outwhen phase inverted ) , it also doesn' thave osc .sync etc.. Anyway , some people think the inetrga is just a preset box , it really isn't ...it's a full blown xv5080 +all the srx boards + SuperNAt.acousti sounds +SNS synth engine . But I do still want a jd 990 ...
Ward de jager Thanks a lot! I already own an XV5080, as well. So I miss the Supernatural engine..... Well, I will think to sell the XV and purchase an Integra second hand when prices will be more "human"...😁....
keep in mind that the inetgra's effect tµrouting is not as deep as the xv5080 . On the integra you can get 1 effect per part ( 16 arts ) + chorus/reverb send effect . It also has fewer effects then the xv 5080 .in fact ..the integra's effects are those as ound on the latest fantom range
JD kills it for tone. But integra sounds fine. Anyone coud do a comparison between XV5080 through digital outputs, and JD990? I find that analog outputs in the XVs do not sound very good, but the digital outputs sound far better.
