I find your lack of faith disturbing! It was obviously an emergency landing - why on Earth would have they parked it in an ALDI parking lot otherwise?

My thought exactly. Don’t drink and fly at the same time. Drink after parking and in celebration once the Death Star becomes a debris field. 💥💥💥✌🏻

The X-wing must have crash landed. The landing gear was jammed. Redo this with the landed gear deployed.

According to Wiki they go 1,050 km/h (652 mph; maximum atmospheric speed) which is not very fast. Rate of fire is also kind of slow compared to a minigun. I don't know about weapons range and maneuverability but i wonder if they would fare well.
