It would help her focus if you provided some water within reach. The treats create more thirst and cause even a low level of dehydration which will reduce the positive angle you’re working on.
I think you’re a very good trainer Larry. I do have one question though, does the bully pup know it’s training time or play time? I’m thinking in a way of, I’d want my dog to know the difference between training time vs play time? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks 👍🏻
Larry, I desperately need your help with training my American Bully, Bruno. I took him in for a friend that could no longer care for him and he has become a terror. He is 6 months old now and he does not listen any more, chewing on furniture, potting in the house, completely regressing. I have had him two months and he was doing so good, now he is like a completely different dog. Please help me help him become a happy dog. Thank you so much for all of your videos.
Larry, I REALLY need your help. My 7 month old Border Collie is terrified of children, especially African American children. He cowers, growls, and barks. I'm scared he will bite! I am a young adult and new to my city so I have no kids or friends with kids... is there anything I can do?
Just discovered your videos, they are great. My wife and I got a Pomeranian in Feb (1 y/o) and it seems he was never crate trained. He has a lot of anxiety, marks in the apartment, barks whenever we leave and even tries to bite us when we try to pick him up off the bed and put him on the floor at night. Now that he is 18 months old, do you think it is possible/advantageous to crate training at this point? I think it would help with his anxiety but I don't have any experience.
Hey Larry, hopefully you see this comment and can answer me.... So i was wondering is there a way to tell how high on the mini educator. My dog is really great/food motivated. I see him give me a sign when I used vibrate but not when i am on a level 9-12 with the Pulse I try 12 for outside no distractions but it seems like sometimes he will come when I am already saying come or sometimes he won’t come so i click once and then he comes. Sorry I hope I am making sense. Also I use the collar fortraining sessions but what about when I take him to pee and poo should I be integrating the collar in with those times? And from what I mentioned above does that sound like the correct training. Also I am trying to be better about teaching door manners how should I implement the collar with door manners. Not sure if you have a video on that...
Copy that I bought your book and the E Collar after watching your videos. It's a little hard to do all the training in a wheel chair the VA offered to get her trained for me but I thought I could do it myself lol.
Larry...my 10 week old GSD/Lab, has started running away from me. He thinks its a game (and its probably because my kids chase him around). Any pointers on how to correct this? I really don't want to have him on a leash every time he's out in the yard...but I don't want to risk him running into the street either.
dude for god omg my rottweiler puppy is killing me i just bought it with 4 months from a week and he's lazy comparing with ur friends dog idk why first of all i wanna him knows his name i tried food but nothing -_-
