Yooo Tierra Whack is pretty fire, like when she features on someone else's song she can ride their beat so well. Often overshadows other rappers, she has crazy flow control and decent bars.
Danny Brown literally has one of best hip hop albums of the 2010’s with Atrocity Exhibition. Yeah its not everyone style of music but he for sure made it more than most of the 2012 list

Fred Da Godson will forever be a street legend. Dude was one of the most lyrical rappers around. He just didn’t make “commercial” music, but dude could spit with the best of them.

Roscoe Dash did fall off but he also has the most legendary hook and verse on a club banger of ALL TIME! No Hands will probably be played in clubs and parties till the end of time. I'd even put his 2.0 mixtape in the top 25 best mixtapes of all time as well.

All I’ve learned from this is you have to be young & don’t know much about actual music…a lot of the people you said “fell off” you just don’t listen to not everyone has to be mainstream to be successful. & Dave East does over 3 million a video easily & he’s acting now so what is exactly lit if it’s not just staying in our face through all forms of media
Dizzy Wright never making it crushes my soul to this day, I cannot recommend his music enough, he is still consistently making amazing music worthy of everyone's time.
Depends what you mean by "make it" because he is successful in his lane and progressing. Thanks to his music he's able to branch off into other ventures and prosper in them. Constant spotlight and being marketed 24/7 isn't "making it".
I liked him up through the golden age album and then he started doing more of the stuff that I would usually skip so I stopped listening to him when I got sick of the old stuff. He's good tho just not for everybody

Don Trip is probably one of the most underrated artist out. His music is too real. Alot of these kids to young adults wont understand. Half these artists this guy mentioned are horribly wack, i guess they are popular or whatever but they not getting no play in my ride. Some people he mentioned had "1 hit wonder" type careers but he still looked at them as not falling off. Talent vs popularity is a very arguable topic. That list that he said was the best year, was definitely not. People really be out here supporting the worst rappers/artists.... Wtf ever happened to Donnis? I have old songs of his that was dope.
Lol Don Trip definitely made it he's the definition of loyal fan base. I feel like we gotta keep these artist’s market in mind too. Ab-Soul might not be the most well known name around the country, but forsure his name rings bells in California. The Los Angeles market alone could carry. Same with Troy Ave in New York. Just my opinion.

Late response, but the pink lava lamp is a top 10 album of all time for me. It’s legitimately insane how Charles didn’t get more popular, even when he brushed shoulders with some of the most famous artists ever, but it seems like he’s in a good spot now, so, that’s cool.

What really happened was he had a falling out with QC which he was signed to and just never recovered from that especially as the Migos and Yachty came along.
