This makes me have a weird nostalgic feelings. Like an end of an era, maybe its my brain flipping through all the memories of him.. this song hits different.
When I listen to x, even in a crouded room, I feel like I'm sitting in an empty hallway. No matter what, the thought of him being gone gives all the beautiful music he's made a sense of emptiness. I crave the hollowness, I crave the hopelessness, but I cant stand it.
XMeshari_z yeah but the women he beat bled red so nobody needed more colors from this awful prick. All you ten year olds will cringe when you grow up and realize you’re mourning a truly terrible person.
It's not the last song he recorded. It's just the last song on the last album. I read Glass Shards was actually the last song he was working on in the studio.
"Now I'm just a ghost in my own life So make the most of this goodbye Do you still dream about me late at night Or are you out there livin' better times?" THAT HURTS US. FLY HIGH XXXTENTACION
Scenarios where I want this song to be played at: -The end of the X documentary -When I finally find success in my life -When I grow up and finally feel content with myself as a changed person -Right before I die. I want to sing this before I die. -My funeral Thank you Jahseh, for everything.
this feels like a "the end" to the decade. tragedies upon tragedies but it doesn't define the years of positivity that were overshadowed by it. take a moment to recollect everything you have and cherish it while you can. make every moment a memory.
For anyone who wants to play this on guitar, here's how :) - Standard Tuning - No Capo - - Chords & Strum Pattern Repeated Through Entire Song - C, C/B, Am, C/B For each chord, strum: Down (x16) *Repeat through the whole song!* Hope this helps out! If you get stuck or need a little extra help, I just posted a video lesson for this on my channel :)
ay man you taught me some of my first songs on guitar and being able to play those songs gave me the motivation to stick with it, now it's pretty much one of my favorite hobbies fr fr so thanks vro 🙏
@@beb-broly7304 but its actually to do with the video unlike most the self promoters. and this self promoter actually teaches you how to do shit not just some trashy video
@@Elutai yeah... sure..... when hes got a video telling people to book lessons with him advertising himself around the same time he posted that comment. so selfless what a hero
@@beb-broly7304 when the fuck did i say hes a god and and a selfless hero legendary man? i just said its better the shit hes self promoting actually useful content other then some retard self promoting his new sound cloud mixtape. also it clearly IS helpful because look at the likes and the first comment on this gus comment its someone saying how he did ACTUALLY help him soooooooo
The last song of this album, The last song we hear 100% from X. Thank you Jahseh for the best decade of music, thank you for living in the same ages as we live. LLJ🕊️
Despite what some will say about the title this is actually one X’s happiest songs. In the hook when he says “memories from the past is all fading to black” and “I won’t let her control me” , he’s saying that’s he won’t let the memories of his ex bring him down any more. He won’t let those memories control him anymore. He’s letting go of the past and looking towards a brighter future.
[XXXTENTACION:] Oh, oh And memories from the past It's all fading to black She started turnin' around I won't let it control me And memories from the past It's all fading to black She started turnin' around I won't let it control me I won't let it control me And memories from the past It's all fading to black She started turnin' around And I won't let it control me And I won't let it control me [Blink-182:] Now I'm just a ghost in my own life So make the most of this goodbye Do you still dream about me late at night? Or are you out there livin' better times? You know it's killin' me to let go I see your face but it's someone I don't know Everything was perfect just an hour ago Will you remember me tomorrow? Honestly as an x fan imma be real... Yes its definitely one of the best songs in the album but most of the songs are "unfinished" and don't sound as good as it should be although they are some really good ones like this one
From news/flock to this, it was quite the journey, tomorrow’s three years without Jah,remember hearing the album REVENGE for the first time back in 2017 and was hooked on your music,RIP Jah
its makes my cry the fact that he really gone... i cant stress enough how much this man impacted the world and billions of ppl yes billions R.I.P Jaseh XXXTENTACION Onfroy.
Been a fan of Blink 182 since they were just called Blink and for copyright reasons they had to add the 182. Saw them live before they were an “established act” or on the radio. To this day after over 20 years of listening to them I’ve never really heard a song I didn’t like. Never dreamed of a collaboration with someone like X all these years later. It’s just sad I’ll never get to see them play it live together. RIP Jahseh. This is a perfect goodbye anthem, and tho you may be gone, your music will forever live on.
lofiramen totally. I remember clearly the first songs I heard. It was in Marietta GA right before my (punk) band went on a DIY east Coast tour. We wrote a song in about 10 minutes inspired by them that wound up making it onto a record compilation for a label out of Texas. Good times. 😎
I first heard Blink 182 in elementary school and I love them, degenerate is my favorite song by them, also I remember when we were saying FREE X not RIP X :’(
Been a big fan of Blink-182 for a long time and I’ve heard X’s songs a few times before he died. I happened to be passing through the same town he died in on that day. I wish I could’ve seen all of them preform this together. R.I.P. Jahseh
I told my dad and my gf some months ago that I want this song if I go sooner than expected... I had a bad car accident 3 weeks ago as a passenger where we rolled over and hit a tree where I almost died. In that moment that song was playing in my head. It was crazy because I got unconscious so it really all faded to black and all my memories were rolling on my inner eye in these seconds.

Listening to this song and thinking: they really killed this dude. He was so misunderstood during his short time on this Earth. He wasnt underrated or unknown. He had a great and loyal fanbase that always supported him through jail and everything. However, he was greatly UNDERAPPRECIATED by the media who always tried to bash him and annihilate him. Even I when i first learned about x i was a lil hesitant to support him. However, digging better to him (he was a polarizing figure and he got me interested), i saw a guy enduring a lot of pain, who was greatly misunderstood by everyone, a traumatized young man who always seeked love and acceptance. I could relate in some ways to his struggle, and through his music i felt like i had an older brother for the first time in my life. Seeing his growth during the last year of his life made me happy, as i was growing and maturing too as days went by. He was so inspirational and influential. He motivated u to become better. That day he passed, i felt like the world had stop. Felt like i lost a real friend. It was so sad i swear to god. I still feel his presence through his music and interviews. Rest in peace X. We miss u and we will always love you. PS: Please make this song the closing song/the credit song (whatever its called xD) on the documentary. It always brings tears to my eyes
Damn He went from News/Flock to Its All Fading to Black, it’s insane how he went from a boom bap rapper to a talented musical singer. All the inspirations, the influence. His mind was really creative. The End.
It’s so frustrating thinking this man was so young, yet so creative. Seeing him on Donda 2 made me realize how impactful this man was to music. The things and creative thoughts he could’ve learned from just someone like Ye. Like, I feel like them sitting in a room together talking about their philosophies and their changes over the years, along with Ye sharing his experience with someone as talented as X and him absorbing all that would’ve just made such a wonderful and immaculate song. He had so much ingenuity, creativity, and relatable feelings to further refine, and cultivate too. The fact he accomplished what he did all at the age of 20, and for him to be always striving to do better… Man. I wish him and many others could’ve thrived for longer and brought us so many more masterpieces.
No his first song released on SoundCloud is news/flock not vice city I’m pretty sure that’s the third one edit: idk why I said palm trees I was probably tired 😂
@@BudgieStew vice city was his 9th song. News/Flock was his very first song released June 17th 2013. Palm trees was his 2nd song. Both are now completely wiped off the face of the internet and are most likely never going to see the light of day again, but you can find songs that are rumored to be news/flock or palm trees but none of us will ever truly know.
KonToku newsflock got bought and palm trees got leaked and his very first songs were recorded on Facebook and there was about 10? Or something that we will never hear
The Versatility in this man ! I was barely recovering from his loss when Juice passed. I’m blessed to be alive in a time when they were though, heard some beautiful music and take inspiration from them. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for blessing us with your music.
This hits so hard dude, and the fact that I can relate to it makes it even better. I'm pissed at myself for not getting into X's music earlier, but I'm not gonna go around saying I was here since day one. Blink 182 did amazing with this...
The5thKing 03 I feel the same way man. I didn’t recognize X’s genius until after he passed. I’ve been an almost “day one” fan of Blink, but over the years they slowly faded from my regular playlists, as I diversified my taste in music, and, well, grew up. Apparently they did too. They did an amazing job on this.
I've listened to X since a little after WingRiddenAngel dropped, so late 2015. I'm not saying that as bragging rights as a "day one fan" but to put in perspective the journey I went through watching him grow, pass, and seeing his creativity come to an end. The feeling we all share is the departure, knowing that his creativity that held us all together as a community cannot be replicated. We all are going to go on about our lives, stumbling across these songs again, and reading everyone's goodbyes. It's eerie, yet it feels like this is how it was meant to end. LLJ
Him screaming the chorus just emotes so much pain, passion, power, and love. Truly one of his best songs ever. An end to a legacy. I’m so inspired by you, it shows within my life, my music, and work. I fucking love you so much, you have and still continue to change/help my life. Always and Forever XXX. #llj #badvibesforever #xxxtentacion
