Yūdachi - Lucky, then Lonely. A Success Story.

Yūdachi has become a go-to ship for me. It's not especially powerful. The guns are decent, but have terrible turret traverse. The torpedoes have reload booster, but can be seen from 1.9km out. It should not really be a ship I enjoy playing. But I do. I really do. If you enjoy IJN torpedo destroyers and are looking for a decent mid-tier premium trainer, this one might be a good option. In this game I get a bit of early luck, then find myself alone on a flank being spotted by aircraft while a CA and a BB try to finish me off. Minutes later, those players watch as I sink their team's CV, then snag a Kraken Unleashed to end the match. GG: Have you tried Split? It's different for sure but strong guns which I have set for long range and accuracy. It's a take-off from a Le Fantastic but "It's way different" too. A good challenging ship that's very tactically oriented. I have low scores and high scores but always offer team support. No AP, slow 8.5k torps that hit pretty hard. It does well with its' 140mm guns at long range, lousy AA, decent rudder shift maneuverability and "decent" speed as well. Tears up DDs well too. It's different... Give it a try? I picked it up but have not played it. I have all that line, actually. But the only one I posted a video about was Lambros Katsonis. While it's not a favorite, it is fun. Rated it 8.6/10 at the time. Only a handful of games in Gdansk and the others. Not sure why I have not played Split. Will have to give it a whirl. Thanks for the recommendation and for watching/commenting, brother!

Very strong performance! I loved the fight v Scharnhorst, Mahan, and Pensacola. One of the strongest players in my clan, Sgt.OliverTwist has done some really excellent with Yudachi as well and swears by the ship. I wish I had picked it up. I hope I am wrong, but I didn’t think it was still available. I will check. As always superb video and commentary.

Thanks, brother! It is a fun ship to play. But against better players with decent situational awareness, it will struggle. Slower torpedoes with terrible detection makes landing a big strike more luck than skill in a lot of games, in my opinion. lol
