Miss Brenda, I remember my mom's fried green tomatoes. Always so good. I wNted to tell you I started making my biscuits "Brenda"Style! I just love it and my family enjoys watching me put them together. The important thing I wanted to mention was I'm Hispanic raised making tortillas. Well I thought why not try doing it the "Brenda" way? So I tried it. They were wonderful! Now I have a new way to teach my grandchildren. Thank you so much for being on you tube. P.S. Mrs. Brenda can you please teach us how to can tomatoes? My Mom passed and always made them every year and now I regret never learning how to do it. I sliced my tomatoes Add flour and cornmeal then I get my oil hot enough to fry fish add my tomatoes slices few at a time so the temperature of the oil doesn’t lower my tomatoes come out pretty

We went to the restaurant and ate dinner there and visited the town it is in Georgia about half way to Atlanta. Don't know if it is still there or not that was after the movie had been out awhile.

Wouldn't frying tomatoes in thin half moons work just as well? I slice my yellow squash thin slabs lengthwise batter and fry same way. Fry cauliflower too.

I made fried green tomatoes once and they were bitter. Not sure I fixed them your way though. No buttermilk though and just dusted with flour. What did I do incorrectly? Plus I bought a cast iron server that says it’s seasoned but what do I do with it?
