I've been a Yela fan for a long time. I was listening to him way before he became known. Anywho, this song took a little bit to grow on me. I found this when I was looking for the new $uicide Boys album. I like the honest reactions. Always a good watch.
Spooky, he said it has 25 songs because it is 2 albums. Each album has a different producer. The second half is called TRUNK MUZIK 4EVER. I think the first half is named whatever his legal name is. Maybe that first half is Conscious music or just different and the Trunk Muzik is better. I am just guessing but if you havent listened to the second half, you ought to see if its any better. I really like the first single/MV he released. "EVERYTHING". "Make You Love Me" is pretty catchy and love the video. I have not listened to the album. Thanks for your honesty.

My approach was the same as yours. First skim through, the album i was kinda like wtf is this bullshit. But it grew on me. Theres definitely songs on there that didnt grow on me, and are hella underwhelming. But theres like 7 or 8 that ive been playing everyday since it dropped. But i see your point, especially considering theres 25 songs. Thats a lot of filler BS in between the good ones.

Thank you for voicing your perspective, I definitely felt similarly listening to this album. I thought the track “barn fire” was good, but other than that, I felt a lot of the tracks were either mid af or just didn’t have much to offer. Yelawolf has always been a very hit or miss type of rapper…and to see him release an entire album of mid kinda sucks.
The album def is a story, and this song to me... is just a little side chapter. A skit. A performance piece/section. Doesn't make or break the story to listen to it or skip. But, as a listener to his work... I'm grateful I can skip it instead of never having the chance to hear it ever in the first place. Not everything is for me, but I sure do like the variety of options this artist puts out. He didn't have to give us a double album, but he did. He's got so much work sitting in the vault it's not even fun to mention (ie, music videos for entire albums that have never been release, Mud Mouth movie, etc).
These are 2 separate albums 1-12 is called MICHAEL WAYNE and it’s a more personal album and 13-25 is TRUNK MUZIK 4EVER! They are both produced by different people! Maybe go listen to some of his recent interviews talking about the 2 album and then go listen to them again! What I can tell he doesn’t want to be stuck in a box and make the same boring rap all the time! And you allowed to not like it that’s your opinion but having more understanding where he is coming from might help! Have a blessed day ma’am!
She didnt even listen the album,every song of it,she heard,7-8 song of it,thats it,invalid opinion,is not one of his best albums,but still a good album,so many good songs,so girl is it something personal,maybe idk,but listen every daem song from the beggining to the end focus,and even then if you say the same that it suck,it means is something not right with you or is personal.Thats my honest oponion peace 🍻
So disappointed with this album. Sure, there were a few good ones on here, but the way it was hyped up, I was expecting so much more. Respect this dudes talent and creativity, but this one was a swing and a miss for me. I love all the Box Chevy songs, but the one on this album was terrible. Anyway, still a Yelawolf fan, but if I was to rate this album, it would be a sold 6/10.
This was very underwhelming. I was waiting on another verse. As a whole was garbage. There were bars, the second verse was a cool shout out but to have no follow up on it took away from it in my opinion. Its really a shame for someone with the potential to be top tier.
