@@iranthenews OMG where do I start!? So it's basically about this badass half siren pirate captain who is the saighter of the feared and ruthless pirate king. He is after the map to where the siren island of unimaginable wealth. But the thing is, it's split between the three pirate lords. So they hatch a plan for her to go on the ship of one of the pirate lords, purposefully becoming a hostage so she can look for the map. And omg then there is a steamy, enemies to lovers between her and the first mate, who is also her interrogator. The back and forth banter is hilarious. And when I say she is badass, I mean she is badass. She can fight better that any man, and has siren abilities. Plz read. I would give anything to read it for the first time again. It's also quick!
What do you think the age rating for that would be? I really want to read it but idk if my parents would let me. Idk exactly what it’s about besides the preview.
I think 12+ would be fine for this book, honestly nothing that shouldn’t be read by 12-13 year olds is in this book, so I would def recommend if your in that age group, I was that age when i first read them. 💗
I recently bought it as my first book! It was really good, tho i wished she stayed with cam tho- also i really hoped that she'd recover in the end instead of passing away just like that:( (I haven't read the other books of the series yet)

Griffin, The Dan Brown series, The Locked Attic by B.P. Walter, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, and Eight Detectives by Alex Pavesi. For fantasy, my suggestions are: The Percy Jackson books, The Shadows Between Us by Ericia Levenseller, His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman, The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, and Time's Convert by Deborah Harkness. For romance, my suggestions are: the Heartstopper series (if you like picture novels), Love Frankie by Jacqueline Wilson, They Both Die at the End (which I never really liked but I know a lot of people that did enjoy it), and The Secret Life of Lucy Lovecake by Pippa James. The His Dark Materials series also has romance in it. And for those little random ones that would be by themselves in a category, I suggest: Moonology by Yasmin Boland (nonfiction), An Immense World by Ed Yong (nonfiction), IT by Stephan King (horror), and Anne of Green Gables (historical fiction). A good tip for cheap books is buying them in Tesco. The books in Tesco tend to be really random but amazing (they also sell popular books too), but they are much cheaper than in a bookstore.
I am absolutely obsessed with the summer I turned pretty (tsitp) I have watched the first series and cannot wait until the second!!!!! Binged the series many times and ready the books!!!!!!! Definitely would recommend
Ok imma be honest with y’all, Colleen Hoover is not really a YA author. Even though there are kids who read her books (like me), it’s definitely not something I would categorize as a YA novel, maybe an adult novel. I love her books don’t get me wrong but she tends to write some pretty uhh… graphic scenes. But I would suggest it to a mature or rather older teen/ pre-teen who is ok with the amount of content warnings in her books. NO HATE I LOVE HER BOOKS JUST WOULDN’T PUT HER AS A YA NOVELIST. 😭

I might be nearing 21 but YA books are still my jam. I recommend the books by Sarah Dessen. I know she wasn’t on the list but she’s special to me. Her books introduced me to the romance genre. The romance is realistic and amazing, always revolving around summer love (from what I’ve read). The books are wholesome but also tackle very tough subjects like death and trauma in an impactful way. Please check them out.

YA stands for Young Adult. A young adult is someone who is a teen or in their early twenties. So most YA is already for teens. I don't understand the meaning of this video???
Because some people like to read young adults books, for myself I’m 15 and I don’t want to read very mature books bc I don’t like them plus I don’t think my parents would like that💀
In Literature (at the very least but also maybe tv & movies according to a screenwriter friend) YA encompasses all *young* adult content, which includes the new label that has become big recently: New Adult. This includes books with protagonists and main characters 18-30 dealing with the coming of age stories of those ages: college, first job/early career, living on your own for the first time, etc. A good portion of these books (since they are written for and marketed towards the +18 crowd) include more mature themes including, but not limited to, more explicit sexual content. But since these books handle *young* adults and coming of age stories, things regular(?) adults don't want to read I guess??? They are marketed as YA. And are then put in the same section of the bookstore & libraries as the YA books meant for teens (the age where the term young adult means "almost an adult") that, by industry standards for books marketed for under 18, can't have more than 5 (some arbitrary low number) curse words & have fade to black sex scenes.

Umm it might feel weird to u all😂😂but like I'm 11 and I write like so many stories I've wrote 50+ stories by now😂😂and like when I say ppl that my hobby is story writing they don't believe me but when I show them my stories and they read it they're like how the heck does an 11 yr old girl write like so many stories and their actually good and no they're not fairytales😂😂they're stories of really amazing twists and they're not fairytales, about animals no they're actually good and like when ppl don't believe me that I write stories and then for proof when I show them my stories pure, true horror can be seen on their face just my reading the titles😂😂like no they're not scary but no 11 year old can think of a title like that😂😂I'm currently working on the story Called "Sweet Revenge" and it's a revenge story with a twist and it's about a girl and the girls quote is "Her scars made her beautiful, her cracks made her powerful. She couldn't be burnt or broken anymore because, she OWNED the fire. And she would become a storm" like if you want to know more abt my stories and more life quotes and yes I'm not lying I'm 11😂😂 👇

No one on booktok recommends ANYTHING from the heartstopper series. Not only are the graphic novels great but the novels the go around it are amazing as well. FYI they are gay romance
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I’m incredibly uncomfortable with books with spice and whenever I look on booktok find one that’s interesting it ends up having spice and I just stop reading. Everyone has preferences but it’s just not for me. THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH!!!!!
is it me or it feels like wherever teens are associated, only books with love issues or heartbreaks are proposed to read. I was going to buy a mystery novel box on teen genre but thanks for opening my eyes, now i will go with mixed fiction
Another amazing recommendation from a teen personally Is “Places We’ve never been” by Kasie West it’s no joke one of the best books I’ve ever read and it’s not a hard read so I finished it in 2 days. I have a picture of it up on my channel if anybody wants to see it but it’s amazing VERY HIGHLY recommend for teens 12-16

I don't know why these day's it's just a trend to hate on collen hover without even reading her books . like literally people who haven't even read a single book of her's are hating on her for NO good reason like bruhh Collen writes so much more than just romance or smut and just for an example, people who say that it ends with us was a smut for real dont have the capability of digest truth and don't know anything about their surroundings... honestly it was a book that covered sucha big topic of domestic abuse so beautifully and rest of her books as well , according to me they are very beautifully written and people who are not reading her books just because of those bad reviews, trust me you are missing a very amazing novels because of those few diplomats. Me 11 has read shatter me series (working on it) if he had been with me etc.. and my mom checked the back too so they were kinda inappropriate for me but I ask mom for the rest and now I have books for forever
"teens" is a pretty wide age bracket but I think Colleen Hoover is pretty inappropriate for ppl in their early teens like, i don't think 13 yr olds should be reading that kinda stuff (im saying this as someone who is in that age bracket, i have a lot of friends who read Colleen Hoover and I honestly think it promotes a lot of toxic stuff which younger people might think is healthy and it could affect their future relationships)
